  • Well i decided Xmas decs were first thing to declutter! Taken them down and like carolbee took out a few tired looking ones. Its all in pile ready for loft now!

Managed to part with 6 books from bookcase. The rest on there I will use/read again. Where i best place to sell books? Ebay? Amazon? Never sold books before! One or two dvd's I could part with too- again no idea where to sell them... any suggestions?

Can't face the kitchen yet... but feel good about doing front room!!! :j

Going to make a start today I think on my DD room, the house is fit to burst with the number of toys she has and the generosity of people at xmas means she can hardly get in the door!

Find Amazon easier myself and if they don't sell you're not charged.

I will list these on ebay (i'm another one who lacks motivation to list)
I did it in stages - first measure, photograph and write rough description on paper.

Later list onto site - find it used to work for me that way.

  • Small start to the decluttering for the new year - 6 things listed on ebay and 10 old pieces of make up thrown away. Also sorted out the Christmas decorations the other day and now have them down to one box plus tree (instead of box, three bags plus tree).

I would love to join in this year have lurked for the last two lol.

I am lucky as my house isn't cluttered, but it is at the stage where it wouldn't take much to get out of control lol.

I really need to put get everything thinned out and in its right place. I moved last year to this place and kind of dumped everything, now it needs sorting and organising.

I also want one of those homes where it doesnt matter if someone turns up unannounced, whereas now that would send me into a blind panic lol :D

Not so much decluttering as cleaning so far this morning as I faced the kitchen, it is looking much better though!

I really need to join you in ths challenge. Our house is at bursting point. DH is such a hoarder, I'm terribly sentimental :o and DD is a 6 year old who doesnt want to throw out any piece of paper she has ever written on .

My plan for today is to get the laundry put away with abit of decluttering old sock and underware that has been replaced with Christmas presents, then get on with sorting through a batch of paper work so that the car can be retaxed.

Edited to say that I've surface tidyed our room and put away the clothes and got rid of 26 items already :j
