Well, the house is still looking tidy a full week after I blitzed it- I am amazed, over the weekend and yesterday I have:
Tidied up under the stairs so there a bag of carriers to go to recycling
2 charity bags went out yesterday full of old clothes
Broken lampshade into the bin
Plastic bottles into recycling
Drawers in the bedrooms/ living room cleared and bits and bobs binned/ recycled0 -
Really need to pull my finger out and get some laundry done today. I finish work in 40 mins and can't wait for bed. I'm on split nights so really tired now and have 2 left to do. First night off is Thursday so I will get up at lunch then and try to get some more done.
Obviously DH found better things to do than any DIY at the weekend but I did manage to pick up some sugar soap so will be able to make some of that up to scrub everything down in preparation and also in clean up pre/post painting. The utility is next to be painted but I can't get to the walls yet because there's too much carp on the floor in front of the cupboards. Soon though, soon

Hi all, just did a tiny amount last night.... the general detritus which kids generate.... have a huge pile to go to the charity shop from the weekend, will be taking that on Friday. Am selling some of it on ebay, I have so much debt have to do what I can, and if one mans rubbish is another mans treasure who am i to argue? I do like to give some of it to charity, especially childrens books and toys. Tonights aim is to start the toiletries sorting!! Bedroom pile first, haha !!! good luck Kaz, can empathise with the tiredness and decorating, its like a route march at times trying to get things done.Trying to shift that debt!0

After work today I took 9 ebay parcels to the post office, so that's another 9 jiffy bags out of the way too.
It has to be said that the house looks like a bomb has hit it at the moment, as when I got home I just made a coffee and some lunch, and sat down to catch up on the soaps I missed last night, so there's 3 bags of shopping, my work bag and handbag all over the kitchen floor, there's washing up to be done, and I've still got ironing to do that has been piled on the armchair since Saturday!
Must now go and put the shopping away and do some ironing, or OH won't have anything to wear for work tomorrow, I may do the washing up if I feel like it, or maybe I'll leave that for OH to do while I'm out tonight.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

I sent off my ebay parcel today so that's an out. Also, the living room chair that my OH 'rescued' which was being stored at my place to dry for a bit. Also 2 empty toiletry packages which is good as well. Made some of twinks' hobnobs so that's the oats gone and a significant amount of sugar and flour too! I realised that I have 6 weeks before I move out! Scary!0

Had a sort out of books and took a pile to charity shop, plus have been given a bag of clothes, but if i dont want any of them then i will need to take them back to person, so sorted there.
Plus ive rehomed 2 freezer i hardly used.
keep meaning to sort out my cubourd on my balcony as its a tip. Got half a dozen bricks i rescued that i meant to use in the garden, loads of pots and stuff to tidy?
could do with having another general tidy indoors too?0 -
Done a declutter of the perfume body lotion and potion shelf. there were ten bottles I wont ever use, with fused gloop in the bottom, a couple of christmas cards (shocking) and some foot creams which are unused and winging their way to the charity on friday... for the charity shop alone there are over 40 items. The bin was emptied today, but is half full of stuff the DD has sorted from her room, inspired by me and the OH having a good sort! As for ebay, I have over 30 lots yet to list. They are photographed in carrier bag lots in 2 huge ikea bags, and Ive set myself a target of listing 6 per night. Im sorting the next lot we are finding due to the de clutter, and I will be photographing those at the weekend. theres a few PS3 games and things like club wear.. Im too long in the tooth for clubbing it and I balk at 8 quid for a drink so I am too stingy for that game too! I havent even started on the cupboard under the stairs, Harry Flaming Potter could be in there for all I know! Its great to sell the stuff on when you can, Im hoping the holiday fund is massively boosted!Trying to shift that debt!0

Well, I didn't achieve THAT much yesterday but looking at the time I had to achieve it in, I'm very pleased with myself. I got up at 2.50, got washed and dressed and went to pick up DD. Then went to get DS. Came home, put breakfast on (for me!) and started unpacking DD's camping gear (and emptied the dishwasher and restacked it). Roll mats and sleeping bag stashed at bottom of stairs ready to go into loft tomorrow. All washing sorted and folded. Ironing done. 3 loads of washing washed and a small amount of ironing from that lot to be done tomorrow. Everything has been put away. Thankfully, DH came home and did tea which gave me time to do the ironing. Had tea, had bath, then back to work for more.
The trouble with our new shifts is that I only have from 2.50 until 7.30 to get everything done including sorting out tea usually and having a bath. That's fine on Grandma days because I can get the kids straight out from the playground but other days they want to stay and play.
I shall continue plodding on though and try to get it sorted. I'll do it by stealth!
Bathroom smells a bit whiffy so I want to clean that tomorrow. I also want to clean off the window frame in the downstairs loo. I think there's enough salad left over from this evening for me to just serve that for tea tomorrow. As I'm cleaning, I'll try to get the floor clean too. Hmm, I'm going to be pooped!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Just got an email from ebay saying it's free listings again this weekend
I've been lazy the last 2 times they had one, but not this time!! I've got quite a few things to put on, as has OH so that should hopefully free up some space once they've sold (they WILL sell!).
I think having OH's grandparents round for tea on a Tuesday is going to become a regular thing, which is lovely as his Nanna still works and does sooo much for the family so it's our way of saying thanksWill also mean I have no excuses not to keep on top of things.
As time goes on I'm finding that if DD1 asks if a friend can come and play after school (as she comes out of the classroom) I can say yes and not have to make a mad dash home to tidy up as much as poss before said child arrives lol.
OUT:
Cardboard boxes and tubes - DD2's pre-school for craft
Some of the DD's 'craft' stuff (squashed boxes and bits of tatty paper) - recycled
Junk mail/envelopes - recycling
2 mugs - to OH's Grandad
plus a few other bits I can't recall. Also emptied the ironing basket this morning  Used to HATE ironing, but this last few weeks I'm actually starting to.... like it!!!
Edited to ad - Don't know how you do it Kaz, I'd just give up - but then I am a lazy mare lol.Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
