Back to the decluttering, have taken old vac to the tip, cleaned out under the kitchen sink (oops didnt manage it at the weekend) and after dinner am off upstairs to start getting rid of old clothes.
DH has also got in on the act:j, which is making a big difference, the litttle hoarders will be given 2 carrier bags again after school and told to sort one for cs and the other for the big (they did really well last week.)
happy decluttering0 -
a small bag taken to the cs today, 2 pairs of summer shoes that as I remember pinched my toes.
2 blank page diaries style hard back books, 2 childrens reading books unread as no small children here (I think I won them in a raffle but its so long ago I have forgot)
I'm at the back of an old wardrobe now and unearthing a right set of mismatched items.0 -
Taking a massive bag of clothes to CS, as well as a big bag of books:j:j:j"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

:wave:Afternoon all, Just thought I would pop in for a quick look to see how everyone is doing - wow some pretty nifty de cluttering going on - on a annual leave day (case of use it or loose it) so getting all my medical appoints done and odd jobs- but needed a break so thought I would call in.
Last night I managed to de clutter the sock basket and I have a huge bag of odd socks to throw out - unless anyone has an idea what I could use them for(without re keeping them as they are ie cleaning gloves as they will just re- clutter the house) apart from making millions of sock monkeys what else can I do with them? Confession - I already have a "spare pillow" made from previous socks - but they are all kiddies odd socks from long time ago - and I don't fancy another "pillow"
And can we count de-cluttering outside? I managed at last to sweep up all the moss that had fallen from the roof and leaves from outside the path and at same time recycle empty plastic bottle of screen wash, threw lots of "blown" in rubbish in ordinary bin and fixed the wind chime that blew down over winter. I was going to chuck it but I mended it with my hair bobble!
Now off to recycle all the bottles I have found in the yard near the bins(need the car this time too many to carry how embarrassing ) I don't have a drink problem(can't afford to anyway) just a lazy problem of not getting my act together when I need to recycle them
Catch you all later:)Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Ok, 3 bags of rubbish, one bag for thrift shop and 2 boxes of dvd's and cd's to Music Magpie later. Plus various bits of cardboard later, I'm on my way.
eta: Now 2 bags for thrift shop.Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -

I have completely cured my shopping addiction as a result of realising how much stuff I have that I don't need, and fear of bringing any more things into the house! I used to have a constant need to shop and now even if I see something I like I just don't have any desire for new things.:)Have reached the point where there are more things I don't want than otherwise. I think a lot of people are feeling likewise, realising that being on the consumer-go-round is ultimately unsatisfying and that it isn't a case of who dies with the most toys wins.
How's everyone else getting on with their decluttering? :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Well am back from recycling the bottles - I got some very funny looks from a passing nurse as I was cursing one of the(many) bags of bottles leaking onto my jeans - hope I don't meet her at the surgery in half an hour when I go for my check up:o.
but best news is I have found my Kitchen Table - whoopee!:T
It was hidden under
2 bags and 1 box of "other peoples stuff" - so sent back to "owners"
1 professional work mag - going to a colleague
3 "dying totally past" it pomegranates - sorry, to the bin.
stack of paperwork - nearly sorted not quiet yet.
pile of ironing - ahem will do later
2 printer cartridges - to recycle box at work
And now I need to clean the table as its disgusting - tea back at a clean table and not trying to fit plates around "stuff"
