nationwide autocentre discount codes

G S L,
The advice and quality of work at all these national chains is down to the integrity of the local manager - get a good one and the centre will be fine BUT there are many managers who are more interested in hitting their monthly sales targets rather than providing what the customer wants so the advice to beware given by others is valid.
Check the price quoted by phoning a couple of local garages for an estimate which will confirm if the price quoted by Nationwide is competitive. Waiting a short while to get this work done shouldn't cause a problem as long as the pads haven't worn down to the metal backing.
For the future. The best advice I can give is for you to speak to people you know in the area and get a recommendation for a local independent garage that they use and trust.
My local Nationwide were brilliant until the last incident...what changed,...they were taken over by Halfords.0 -
a small independant garage wont charge near that to change discs and pads on an old astra.0

There is a good universal discount code for certain repair chains which i wont name to stop anyone being sued.

PLEASE thing very carefully about using these people. We went to them for a straightforward service and MOT as we couldn't get into our local (trustworthy) garage quick enough (bad planning...) and were charged over £400 for not very much really. In hindsight we should have challenged it but didn't. Our fabulous local garage advise us on what must be done, what may need to be done soon and what will need doing in the future and are so very busy all of the time!
We were well and truly ripped off by Nationwide Autocentres and wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole. They lure you in with seemingly good offers then just add more and more extras - if you are not confident with what may need doing with your car ten just beware - they seem to be able to sniff out people who will be easy to take advantage of.
Interestingly after our bad experience, nearly EVERYONE I mentioned them to had exactly the same opinion of them too.
A good garage shouldn't need discounts to reel in new customers should they? LBM August 2008:eek:Total debt £51914.74 Paid off so far £47,611 DMP started November 08 Current debt £4,303.73Proud to be dealing with OUR debt ! :T0
