Hubby planned to go to Ireland, checked prices and flight was 99p each way excluding taxes etc, checked a few days later and the flights were 49p each way, so what with taxes and paying for luggage it came to £40.66, booked it and he goes away next Thursday for a long weekend to see his school friend he hasnt seen for 16 years. Its all swings and roundabouts (or just roundabouts if you live in Milton Keynes!!!):rotfl:And yes the lady in the avatar is me

I have had a situation wher my son was online i9n London and I was online at another end of the country and we were trying to arrange a flight together knowing that the flight was more expensive if you booked 2 tickets rather than one (we had tried) we both put our bookings in and pressed the button together. My son got his booking at the price on the screen mine bounced back this flight is no longer available at this price and gave a price £50 more! You can't beat the system!! or does someone know differently?0

couldnt this be looked at as illegal if they do do this?0 -

I thought babies dont get a baggage allowance with most airlines unless you pay through the nose......what are budget airlines for? Surely you would have ended up paying more than the extra £70 if you have gone with BA etc??"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

falc i would love to know for sure if this actually occurs or not
i have long thought especially with easyjet that the price goes up in relation to how many times you check the price, i have been caught out with a high priced ticket only to find the next day the price reverts back to the old price
how many of us go back and check on the price the next day after purchasing the ticket?
i dont like checking for prices in the evening and then sleeping on it and purchasing the next day, or even check in the morning and then go back in the afternoon- its has happened just too many times where this has cost me £10 or £20 a flight
easyjet even have my email address on the homepage when i access it thru a bookmark
it must be a scam...i can smell it!!0 -
I have 2 theories here.
Firstly ,cookies may not be a bad thing. Their software is continually monitoring demand so by clearing your cookies you may fool the software into thinking you are another potenyial customer for that route, therefor increased potential may put the price up.Cookies will also tell the software that you are continually "looking but not buying", therefor a downward price adjustment may turn you from looking to buying.JUST A THEORY
When looking way for fares with ryanair, I ALWAYS use the "find lowest fares tab" that way the software doesnt know which day I really want(although half the time, neither do I) You can then scan all the fares in a 20 day period.
you can do this in various forms with most airlines. If you have to input exact dates to access the calender feature, make sure its not the ones you really want, just to see the difference. JUST A THEORY
FINALLY, This is not a theory With ryanair, often you can save by booking singles. A single back to the UK may be priced the same number of Euros as we pay Pounds, saving 30% (less currency conversion charges)
THIS IS A FACT0 -
