ryanair may have a little ruse going...

Have you ever noticed that when you log on to a cheap flight website such as Ryanair and Easyjet (not sure about the others, and indeed haven't fact checked this so it is all allegation I'm afraid), they remember you. If you then go back and check the same flights a day or so later, you may find they have gone up in price. Go back a third time and they may have gone up again. My au pair was complaining because every time she went back to buy her tickets they had gone up. The first time she checked they were £36, 24 hours later they were £42 (prices approx I'm doing this from memory). Finally the poor girl spent £72 on her flights. It rang a bell because I have had the same experience, so we logged on as me instead of using her account and lo, the tickets were back down to £36. If you can confirm or deny my theory then do please post back as to whether I am right. It's the same theory that market traders use, which is fair enough, but somehow one doesn't expect it of a major corporation! I have a hunch that indecision can be expensive and sometimes you may want to go to an internet cafe to buy your cheap flights!

ps of course much better to stay at home with the current energy crisis and who wants to fly Ryanair anyway, miserable airline! still haven't forgiven them for charging my baby excess baggage of £70!! (babies don't get baggage allowance with horrid old Ryanair).

I can believe this, so the simple solution is to delete your cookies before returning to the airline web-site.
  • Hmmm its difficult to say with ryanairs never ending "sale" prices & extended sales. Maybe a few of us should Test this theory out over a few days.

    Ok heres my effort

It's not just Ryanair. BA from Frankfurt to Heathrow on Mon evening, 217euros, exactly the same flight Tues evening, 237euros. All flight details were exactly the same, both ways. It's still a good deal, considering, but b----y annoying all the same.
