I've found a tin of chopped tomatoes in my cupboard with a best before date of August 06. Would you eat them or not? I'm pregnant so am being more careful than usual... normally I wouldn't even have noticed the date!!!

I don't think I would eat them if I was pregnant, but otherwise I would eat them. It just isn't worth the risk if you are expecting IMO.Jane

if you weren't pregnant I would say eat them, but as you are it isn't worth the smallest risk, either give them to OH or throw them away. I know it is not very MS but in this instance your health is more important. If you did eat them you would prob be worrying about the baby and it must be on your mind, hence this thread. Chuck em.

Yep, me too I'd eat them if I wasn't pregnant (which I'm not thank goodness :eek: ), but I wouldn't take a chance with a baby on the way
Congratulations btw.

:j Congratulations, Mrs (& Mr) Sparkle :j
(on the baby, not on your findings)
Ordinarily, yes, but like others, not with a baby to consider.
sarahlouise210 - you amateur slobby, you!!!Clearing out some cupboards recently I found a tube of mini rolo's BB: April 2001! (I just *knew* I'd put them away somewhere "safe"
)
And to irchy_mum ... naturally, they needed to pass "inspection" and they were remarkably good looking for such oldies!:whistle:
