Giving foreign aid is like giving unemployment pay. Lots of trouble if you don't.
    Point.

On the other hand, most of these countries are troublesome because our supine government provides them with the means to be a nuisance.

Withdraw it and they will all collapse, thus removing the problem.

  • More of the begging bowl being thrust in front of us yet again and this time you're going to be shamed into giving. Not sure that's a sustainable policy. Try going to a site called xperedon.com (sorry can't provide link as a new user but just go directly there) - Neat idea - you link what you give to what you spend on your credit card, it's voluntary and private. Donations to YOUR chosen charities are based on a proprtion of your spending (which you get to decide)Switch it on or off whenever you want. Empowering the public to determine how they give, is a sustainable concept - begging bowls eventually just annoy.
  • This amounts to harrassment. I certainly won't be giving. If the government cuts the forgien aid ( especially India) then maybe they could donate some aid to our own charities
  • Ridiculous! Let everyone give as they desire to charity whenever they can and if they choose not to then thats their decision. No need to force it on us. For years charities been running, so many donations given and still so much poverty, homelessness and hunger. Makes you wonder where all those millions of donations are going.
    You are 48% tight
