Having overspent my £160 budget by less than £1 this month  and had a look at what I spend on what, I am going for a small reduction next month, so please put me down for £150 for February.
I was horrified to break down my spends by meal and find that we spend almost as much on snacks as on dinners  But a lot of that is fresh fruit which is quite expensive but healthy. Not sure if I can do anything about that without putting on weight - £ in the bank or pounds on the scale, that's the question :rotfl:0 -
I am declaring £378.06 my budget was £350.00 so over by £28.06 which is not too bad as I have been following Slimming World plan for 2 weeks and I tend to spend more when I do.
Well done to those under budget and good luck for next month.

Another NSD today. So I am declaring on £145.57:j
However, this didn't include alcohol. So will be including that in my amounts next month. I think that might be very scary.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -

Just done my final shop this month - £13 on pack lunch bits and some gravy, tin foil and washing up scrubbers.
My totals for January are £337.17/ £400.
Wasnt sure of a budget to begin with as its the first month ive done this and had never added up my totals before.
I have brought lots of bulk stock items this month, cleaning/laundry bits and also meat for the freezer - worked out seperately these added up to £65 odd and should last a couple of months at least so am setting my budget at £250 for Feb (already put on febs thread). Think this should be do-able as i have made a lot of dinners for the freezer for quickness - cottage pies and lasagne/ mince.
I have done a full stock list of everything in the cupboards and freezer so hopefully this will help with the meal planning.
Thanks to everyone who has added to the thread this month, gained some really useful tips and ideas, so Thanks!
Moving accross to Feb now so see you there!!

So many people doing so well this month! I am now declaring for JAN £496.65 - £3.35 underbudget!!
Did do a lot of stocking up with that too. Have decided to set a much lower budget for Feb as shorted month, we are away for a week, and have a few big bills to pay! I will set a budget of only £250 and see how we get on. Think I will put additional £100 to one side in case of any bulk buying bargains that come my way but won't include this to start with. Money spent on holiday won't be included as that's part of holiday budget.
thank you to all who post on here. it really has kept me going this month.0 -

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting for a while. I'd like to declare a spend of £462.45 for January against my usual £450 target. I'm a bit cross with myself as I am sure that I could have actually achieved target if I had not taken my eye off the ball the last week when I couldn't find two receipts & had to wait until they hit the bank account before I could assess what my total then was. However, looking back at my spends in my signature, this was actually my best month since April, so not all bad I suppose!
Well done to everyone who has achieved their target & sending positive vibes to those, like me, who still need a bit more practice!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -
Afternoon
I'd like to declare for January at £457.24, £24.24 over my target of £433. Still roughly where I should be for the annual total though and a fair bit of stuff in still.
Well done to everybody and good luck for (the mercifully short - gives us all a fighting chance!) FebruaryAugust Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0
