Well, I did end up going to te@co yest, and guess what? I spent zip!! :j
Thanks to all who mentioned about making my own pizzas. I do that quite often with my children, so they feel they've made their own dinner. I just wanted to have a treat, where I hadn't had to prep anything. Before the challenge, I wouldn't have thought twice about going to d@minoes and blowing £15, so a £3.18 pizza felt like a reasonable alternative. You've got to live on the edge sometimes!
Bought a few other things while I was there, but they will come out of the feb budget as they were bought for feb. Will update sig when I've worked it all out. Plus, a@da had their boots reduced to half price. Not really grocery, but still worth a mention!
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100

Hiya
Asda delivery on Friday (free delivery code by email) came in at just under £60. Got milk, mums mags and some yoghurts on Thurs at Sainsburys and then bread yesterday from the newsagents and a paper and some cheap courgettes from Tesco express.
Dome my sums and I am declaring £295.78 for January which is just on target -yay!
We still have loads in the cupboards and freezer and am well stocked up on cleaning products, loo rolls, toiletries and laundry stuff so I want to try to reduce it a bit for Feb. I will go for £280 which will allow me £70 for each Friday in the month. This will probably work out at £50-60 for each weekly big shop with £10-20 fr top ups each week.
Will have a good go at thinking if I have something which will do before I buy - unless there is an offer to be had of course :-)

Not as bad as I thought...
after a week on holiday with horrendous morning sickness. (which meant I couldnt plan any meals as I could only eat what I fancied, when I fancied it).
Turns out though I only really fancied cereal and fruit most of the time.
Ive totted up my receipts and Im declaring £345 for January. Only £45 over budget which Im really pleased with.Happy days
