Im on my 13th nsd out of 16 :D -and according to my meal plan for this week I will NOT have to shop at all this week  as long as we don't run out of water -and if we do then hubby will be despatched to get some on his way home from work
-we should be ok as we use less now hubby is back at work ;)

Dinner tonight is Spanish rice with chicken and chorizo -tis scrummy ..... the rest of my week is looking like this:-
    • Spanish rice with chicken and chorizo
    • lemon and 5 spice chicken with veggie stir fry
    • Irish beef stew - with hm bread for hubby
    • hm meatballs with creamy garlic mushroom sauce, hm potato wedges, broccoli + peas
    • creamy pasta with seafood
    • slow cooked chinese pork with veggies
So thats me set for the rest of the week...
    Have a great day everyone,,,

That sounds a yummy weekly menu :D Do you make your own mushroom sauce ? If so could i have your recipe please ?. I tried to make one last year and it turned out so horrible, and have never tried it since:(

You can write on your signature, i you look on the green bar near the top of the page it says 'user cp' click on that and down the left hand si of the page you can see it says 'edit signature' click on that and you can put your GC (or any other challenges you may be doing) on and update it as and when. Hope that helps :D

if you got to Quick Links above, and select Edit Signature, that will let you put your info (its added to the bottom of your posts); it isnt compulsory but some people find it helps to keep track ;)

I've added a few recipes to the list:

    angelatgraceland - Spotted !!!!!!

I also tracked down an old post by Curry Queen with a few more microwave steamed sponge pudding

    happycrafter - Broad bean dip

    scotsaver - meringues
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Morning all, wow this thread moves fast, need to update sig as have spent £25 since my last post and am needing mushrooms and juice today (cousin is picking them up for me). Was having a declutter of my bags and shoes on sat and found some broken bits of gold jewellery in a bag (i do strange things like this and then forget where i put things :D) so took it to the shop and got £60 for it :T but then went and bought 2 new bags and some make-up  (but have put £30 of it into my savings). Need to buy some sanitary products as i had another loop biopsy done yesterday but that will be within next weeks GC so another good week this week, long may it continue :D.

Have made 24 rolls today for pack lunches and a tray of chocolate brownies. Tonight we will be having whoopsied pies, potatoes, carrots and some whoopsied broccoli and cauli florets (from xmas eve, frozen so i hope they are ok as i didn't blanch them). So another cheap day.

Unfortunately i need to go to Mr A tonight as i have run out of weetabix and my dd2 always has it for supper. I could do with some veg so hopefully they will have some more whoopsies for me. If not i'll pop into Aldi for their super six.

I've updated my signature so i need to be careful as i only have £49.24 until my GC ends on the 24th Jan and i still need to buy some asparagus to plant at my allotment.

  • Went into town and whilst I was there went into MR L which I dont venture into too often. Spent £5.50 but have enough bottles of water now for my Zumba class for 3 weeks which only cost me £1 for 6 bottles, which will stop me stopping at the local shop and spending £1 on one bottle so that saved a fiver. Got a few other bits that i needed so shouldnt really need to go in again this week apart from bread and milk which I will make sure there is only enough money in my purse for that. I will have the will power.
    MAY NSD's

  • Had to pop to I**land this morning for some bits I didn't get in Mr T's yesterday, Their NOM NOM corner yogurts are on offer again 2 multi packs for £3, got 3pks of angel delight for £1, for cheap puds, and 2 pks of willow butter for £1 got a couple of other bits and spent £9.70 in total, will update my sig in a min. Having corned beef hotpot for tea and might make a bread and butter pudding. Never made one but had some bread and milk given to me from work yesterday that needs using up. :)

  • Hi all.
Had a great start to the month with 5 NSD so far. Spent a total of £60.97 so far although i have included the £7 i spent in Boots on tissues and monthy neccessaries and my make up remover wipes (did get £5 off with voucher).
This has really made me think about what i spend and the amount we waste as a household, so thanks.
Not much to buy for the rest of the week, maybe milk, off to the farm shop in a bit to grab some eggs and veggies.
