Not anymore in my small town, the are two shops (a Centra at the garage & a Russell's Cellars on the sea front) who open earlier & close later than the costcutter. Both have an off licence that the Costcutters don't have
    either.

I'm tempted to go back just to take a photo of the chocolate shelf, the Crunchie was one of the more reasonable prices. It is probably fair to say all Costcutters charge differently, but surely no other Costrobbers charges more than 72p for a Crunchie.

Costcutters should be done under the trade description act as they are anything but!

Visited one the other day and their 35cl bottle of Smirnoff was over £9! That's at least £2 more than anywhere else that sells it.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Why?! We believe you that a shop near where you live is more expensive than some other shops nearby without you needing to supply photographic evidence - and it traumatised you so much last time it would be a needless stress on your system!

For what it's worth, I live in Bath, no chocolate (or ice cream, etc) is cheap anywhere ;-)

Sometimes their offers are good. I've bought Whiskers multi pouch packs in there before cheaper than the supermarket.

Otherwise I AVOID most convenience stores (even the Supermarket ones) unless desperate.

Oooh, I lived between Balsall Heath (just opposite Cheddar Rd, in fact, when it was still Cheddar Rd) and Kings Heath, and everywhere inbetween for 6 yrs, both have their benefits and problems. When I pass through Brum these days I pop in the Pallasades and buy electricals from that store by the escalators for half or less what I pay in Bath for anything! And shoe shops here /start/ with Jones, Clarks, Schuh and go upwards from there...

Yes, I do love Bath, but you certainly notice the effect on your wallet ;-)
