Not really a good example, the littlewoods group quickly backtracked when it was.pointed out to them that contracts had been completed and what they were doing wasnt legal.
Its pretty easy to link code use to a card or an address, those companies that dont do it quite rightly should be taught the error of their ways.
Not that it really makes a difference, im sure most people that ordered and took advantage of this code will be making further orders, thats what us pet keepers do, we order the same type of stuff weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc
Take me the big bad fraudulant code abuser, as pointed out by someone elseive tried the company and got 3 lots of substrate for my vivariums worth £18 for free, its probably cost the company 7 or 8 quid.
Ill now be placing a monthly order for my substrate from them, mainly because its cheaper than buying it locally and lugging it home.
Who is the winner out of this? They get a monthly order from me worth £40 - £50, plus extra when my equiptment gives up the ghost, I save money compared to buying locally.
No doubt ill recommend the company to my reptile keeper friends.
There you have it, successful marketing in action, customers worth a few thousand a year, all for a cost of £8.0 -

Take me as well, looks like I'm a "fraudster". :rotfl:
I've got no pets and made 3 orders and believe me I may "use" this company again also...........................when they have their next "glitch".

I placed 4 orders, for wild bird food and dog treats (for parents and in laws dogs). I don't have any pets, but I do feed the birds, although I often forget to buy seed and run out completely for a few days before I get round to buying some. Never thought of ordering it online before, I dare say I will use the site again in the future, alot easier to remember to buy it when you can pop online and order it as soon as it enters your head that you need it.0

I too will be ordering from Zooplus again. I've previously been using PetsAtHome - largely because they had an offer on the cat food and so I continued to order from them. However PetsAtHome give you free delivery on orders over £29 and charge £4.95 delivery for orders below £29 and above 1.8kg in weight. This is the delivery I would normally have to pay because my orders are above the 1.8kg weight limit.
Zooplus have free delivery on orders over £19 and anything under that, regardless of the weight is £2.90.
Had this 'glitch' / marketing ploy not occured, I wouldn't have known about Zooplus and would therefore not have ordered from them. Suffice to say that I'll be ordering from them again.0 -

I know it's slightly off topic and I don't want to sound preachy but I personally try my best to avoid buying from retailers who sell live animals, (especially mass-bred animals from breeding farms eg Pets At Home), so if this "glitch" has spread the word about an alternative retailer which is competitively priced and doesn't sell livestock, well I personally think that's blummin brilliant!!! :j0 -

I hadn't realised that and so am even happier that I am switching to ZooPlus.
Kill two birds with one stone so to speak.0 -
According to their website, Zooplus only operates online and doesn't have any actual stores, so no livestock.
I'm pro-rescue, so I don't like the fact that Zooplus offers a discount for breeders however, on the other hand, they do also offer a discount for registered animal charities and shelters so that's good.
Anyway that's just my personal rant - don't want to start a debate and it's not directed at any person here in particular - each to their own
I completely understand that it can be hard to be picky about where you shop and it's all very well wanting to make ethical decisions but, at the end of the day, it's usually your bank balance which decides!0
