In Asda Hovis is 3 for £2 at the moment and their milk is 2 x 4 litres for £2.

In our very small village shop milk is 89p a pint and bread is a whopping £1.69 a loaf!

Thanks everyone for posting how much your bread and milk is. Amazing the difference in different places.

Just back from Asda, 2 Hovis for £1.50 or 3 for £2. Milk is 2 x 2litres for £1.80. OUr local Iceland also does 2 Kingsmill loaves for £1.50.

tescos - creamfield milk 2 x 2L bottles for £1.50 but their in store bakery bread (800g) is now £1.20 a loaf but that still cheaper than some of the branded stuff which is horrible.
