Was going to suggest a leotard but toilet access would mean having to completely undress so that's no good.

What about going to a local college and asking the students on dress making/design courses?

A school near here does engineering and they seem to do a lot of out of the box thinking for the benefit of helping people to cope - one girl has recently set up her own company to produce her stair walking aid!

    I've been Money Tipped!
My sister had a brace similar and used to wear a sleeved top and thermal leggings under the brace and a smock type dress over the brace.

Could you put her tights on before the brace?? Or is that not an option??

Is it scoliosis? I had surgery for that when I was 16, if you want any information.

I had a brace like that from 11 - 17 years. I used to wear skirts a lot, they stayed up as the hips were moulded shape on the brace so were wider. Longer baggy tops covered the high waist (although that was fashonable then)

I used to wear my tights under my brace, if that is ok apart from toileting, then you could cut the gusset out and she could wear knickers on top.

Personally I wouldn't go down the route of asking if she can wear something different at school (especially if she is in a mainstream school) You feel enough of a freak as it is with a brace on so wearing something different from everyone else would have really distressed me.
