its called a weave throw... would it just be weaving loads of different wools and tying the ends so it didnt unravel?
id really like to make one and i think it would bea year long project for me.

p.s. all the pics and ideas are brill :) i really enjoy coming on and having a nosy... its a bit like my secret guilty pleasure... like snooping in a friends craft room :)

LolaLemon That throw is lovely. I think you would need to make some kind on loom to hold the vertical threads so you could weave through them horizontally. Something like this

thank you PepPop, so in reality it wont be *too hard* to make, just going to be space to house it for when i get frustrated and/or bored... im thinking, it is only £25 to buy, and it will fit my bed nicely, so im going to keep an eye on it and check in store as well, and hope it goes on sale or catch it before it is discontinued, and in the mean time, im going to try and do a small one for a baby, to see how i get on with it...
i'll update pics as and when i get started

LolaLemon I'm looking forward to some pics to see how you get on. I was thinking you could make a loom from a rectangle sheet of mdf and hammer some nails into the short ends, wind your wool round these to make your vertical threads and then weave through these. I know what I mean but I'm not sure if that makes any kind of sense :rotfl:

    Lovely cakes yummy.
That blanket looks nice. To make a large one wouldn't the loom take up loads of room?
