    pennib -love the sockmonkey :T

tina - if you can't knit you can always make a little hat from a sock...........cut it off above the heel and use the elasticated part to go round the head, tie piece of ribbon or elastic band round the top of it leaving enough to make it look like a sort of ski hat. Just a thought.

Finished off foster daughters kitchen plaque and made it a hanging one instead of magnet -OH got me some dark blue check ribbon just the thing. Then I did a little heart for her from some freebie fabric I'd got that had a saucepan on it........same ribbon at the top........think she'll like it.

Tomorrow if its warm OH has promised he'll wheel me into town but its bloomin' cold today so not so sure it'll change that much overnight.
So, tomorrow will be knitting the second wrist warmer and maybe (if I remember to ask OH to get some socks) sock puppets................lol:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

dizzytina - your makes are, as always, gorgeous! :T

    pennib - I love him, he's sooooooo cute :)

This weeks makes for me were vanilla & nutella polka dot glitter-dust cupcakes for DS birthday and a pair of voile curtains for DD bedroom:

    IMG_9185.JPG

The cupcakes are vanilla sponge mix filled with nutella in the centre (using wilton #230 nozzle) topped with vanilla buttercream swirls, glitter-dust, and mini choco beans. I was really pleased with the results.... wasn't sure how much filling to pipe into each cupcake but they looked great when cut in half!!!

The voile panels were bought but far too big, so i altered them in width and length, added pretty bows along the top to attach them to the curtain pole, and finished with two strings of gorgeous glittery fairy wings purchased from one of my favourite shops in Covent Garden, Sass and Belle. My little girl LOVED them :T

    Ladies

I'm making sock bunnies for Easter gifts and and trying to source some good value stuffing. I remember a while ago on a thread someone mentioned that she used pillow stuffing as it was the cheapest way to do it - does anyone remember this?? Or does anyone have any other ideas for cheap stuffing??

    TIA :)
