Another silverclay make from me - a silver fingerprint keepsake charm for my little star!! I left this one 'rustic' rather than polishing it to a high shine, just popped it into the tumbler for 15 minutes and then a quick rub off with a silver cloth._____________________________________________party_ Handmade Christmas and Occassions 2011 _party_OS Moneysaving as much as I can

cuddles - crikey...........4 more button necklaces !! I really must get my finger out and do some more.
Need some ideas............neighbour has given me an empty tin that had shortbread in it. It's like a pringles tub, nicely covered in purple/lilac pattern. What can I put in it thats not ''pamper stuff'' ? I did loads of those last year so need a fresh idea for this one.
You could save it to package any truffles or sweets you make???_____________________________________________party_ Handmade Christmas and Occassions 2011 _party_OS Moneysaving as much as I canGonna live 'The Good Life' - grow my own and 4 hens

Have also made a Heat Bag as a birthday present for my BIL who always has cold feet. Just need to buy the rice to fill it.
4 more button necklaces almost finished too.
Can I ask how you made the heat bag and what you will fill it with?? How do you make them so they can be emptied and washed so to speak?Another silverclay make from me - a silver fingerprint keepsake charm for my little star!! That is beautiful!! how did you make that? I would love to make something like this for my OH.
sorry to butt in on your thread, I am afraid I am a lurker. But if you don't mind I would love to join in? My MIL has said this year christmas has to be home made, which is great for me as I can be quite crafty. I am making her a hootie cushion with this fabricand have a few other ideas in my head, but I am worrying I may not have time to make everything so really need to get cracking. I can't knit, or do cross stitch although I would love to, but I do make cards.

wammy - lovely idea but can't cook anything like that -never was a 'domestic' type...........lol
tina -love the sock cats...........wonder if I could do one ? You got the pattern ?
Can't see my back/walking improving for some time -still, always was a bit of a lazy person and enjoy sitting down doing stuff...........just frustrating when you don't have a choice in it. Still..........not to worry..........folk worse off.
rusty- love the material........such pretty colours.
Thinking of having a go at knitting.......haven't done it for years and having done the little bits of knitting on cocktail sticks I just might be able to do something bigger albeit a scarf..............lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary i used these instructions http://community.babycentre.co.uk/post/a11193015/sock_cat_tutorial and it is easier and quicker than doing a sock monkey x xV 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550

Cuddles - quick update re the mug hugs.
I've done a couple & they've worked out really well, thank youI'm not allowed to put links up yet though & haven't a scooby how to post pics.
I've been trying to teach a friend's pregnant daughter how to knit for what feels like forever, but has probably only been a few weeks. Problem is she's left handed and I'm not, she's never picked up a pair of knitting needles before & it's been about 20 odd years since I did and my hands don't work! All in all, not a good mix lol
However, she's taken a shine to these & has persevered till she's cracked it. She's now knitting them for Britain! I've put one on ebay for our charity auctions & although it's sitting at 99p at the minute, I'm hoping it will raise a bit more ..... she's done at least 6 more already so the winner can have a choice and there's still 6 more days to go so heaven knows how many more she's going to get done by then!
At least, all the time she's doing these, she's not going to be asking to do a lacy matinee coat or something that would probably require us both needing therapy <lol>
Thanks again for the inspiration & pattern - greatly appreciated.0 -
