Got as far as taking down christmas cards today and cutting out the pieces I can re-use...............then found I needed some card so I was a bit stuck. Still, at least I've made a start albeit a small one................lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Ladies have you checked the Very and Littlewood sales for curtains and bedding.I got some curtains for £3.00.
Dont see them as what they are being sold.See them as what you would pay in material. And go through cashback site and get an extra 8% off .A lot cheaper than material off roll.xx
Thanks for the suggestion - I also just grabbed some curtains for £3.00 that will be perfect for making a couple of craft bags for niece and nephews! :jSilence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!0 -

Ddraig big hugs. its a right pain when you get no encouragement. my otherhalf not too bad, he just lets me get on with it and makes the right noises when asked.

Great tip with the pillows. I think a carrier bag sized lot of wadding cost me about £5 from the local craft shop and I only wanted a handful of it to finish off a fairy for my daughter! A well I have plenty for having a go at sock monkeys with now!:rotfl:
Sending hugs Ddraig. Men can be so tactless sometimes!!
I've been out today pottering around the shops on the last day of school holidays for a few odds and ends. Just a few groceries with DD. Nowhere seems to have any decent reductions on anything I'd want to buy. (Apart from a new monster 6.5l slow cooker I'm eyeing up in TJ Hughes in the city centre! My poor little asda smartprice 1.5l is overworked and there is never any food left to freeze!) I saved my Boots points up all year for their sale only to discover it was rubbish! Has anyone noticed how all the 3 for 2s in Boots have miniature sized bottles and loads of packaging? You can get almost everything cheaper if you buy full size products (e.g. mosturiser or hair stuff) on their own and make your own packaging. More for your money too! :money: So we're going to keep saving the points
Speaking of which, I made a pamper hamper for MIL2b and my mum for Christmas and it was loads more fun going round and choosing the stuff to put in them myself and tailoring them to the recipients. Stuff this storebought rubbish!
I think some of the people in shops think I'm bonkers when I stand there adding up the price per 100g to find which bag is more cost effective or when I walk past muttering comments about what the world is coming to when supermarkets try to sell you ready made versions of just about everything and I can make better myself thank you very much!! :rotfl::love: Engaged since 25/12/2009
Well I was engaged. Until we separated on 8th MarchHere's hoping that having a break will help us solve all our problems. Until then I'm a single mum on a tight budget

I'd like to make some flavoured alcohol for my SIL2 for her birthday, but her drink of choice is Barcardi.
Any ideas of what I can do with it?
Off to look at the curtains now - need some new ones too!!0 -
