Told you need to phone up to cancel? WRONG

Are you sure you are not a sausage roll?0

What's the issue with just calling them up?
It takes 30 seconds and you use a free number.
Honestly, Is it purely because you want to prove a point?0 -

High Flyer, you got in before I could, if someone was going to take money out of my account and wanted a phone call on a free phone number, I would do it, not come on here and complain about it.
Why is it I have suddenly got hungry? Waterfields ones are the best, bit peppery, but lovely. Sayers ones are rubbish, all pastry and no filling, but you can't beat a good old homemade one, with extra onion in it, heaven !0 -

HMMMMM.... do we have another Credit Expert plant here? The room is full of em...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I think it is important to mention i am not a credit expert plant, if i was i would be adding some attempts at why you should not cancel your credit expert membership, and definitely not encouraging a quicker method (i.e. email) as a cancellation route.
I mention clearly in my post, that in my personal experience, i emailed and my membership was cancelled.
The information i posted in terms of contact details, is shown clearly on the credit expert website, from the home page click the contact us link in the footer, and it is displayed (so standard users will see this). There is more here than in the FAQ links from when you login (more as in the address and contact email address).
I was recommended by a friend that this forum was a great place for objective financial advice, but it is disappointing that if an objective view point is put across, that your integrity is questioned, on the basis it is contrarian to other users.
Still it is good to see that the cancellation issue was resolved in the end!0 -
Hmm
OP makes a point, DMG responds, OP thanks DMG for point but advises of their own experience. DMG calls OP stupid (why?), other posters use DMGs reply in same vein (again - why?).
Looks like the "You're wrong, I'm right" kids at play? DMgs post got deleted. Perhaps those that used it to repeat against OP should bear in mind that they seem to be contravening site rules and need to re-educate themselves?
Some long time posters have started to adopt a somewhat high-minded attitude (as do some newbies).0 -
Obviously this board is habituated by the underclass the Tories occasionally refer to.
Perhaps the OP could help his/her cause by refraining from making such remarks?0 -

Posted by the OP after DMGs now deleted post and after your and someone else's posts in a similar vein. Maybe the deleted posts tell a different tale, but it certainly doesn't look that way.
Just because you "accept" the way one person (or indeed a number of people) posts, does not mean that it may not come across as aggresive / sarcastic / rude to a newbie.
The OP was making a valid comment about a difficulty they had faced. Just because DMG didn't agree, based on 3rd hand evidence, doesn't explain how you and a couple of others came to disagree too. Unless you believe that anything DMG says should be treated as gospel?
Too much buddying up going on within MSE? People need to take a step back and look at how they are thinking (or not doing)?
Edit - Interesting that credit-geek, having been accused of being a plant, doesn't come the same "stupid" line and takes it in their stride. A better way to react imho.0
