The online is now as good as Xbox live but free and it has a blu ray player built in.

Very very debatable. I'm very happy to pay for my Xbox Live subscription over PSN anyday. Party chat whilst playing different games is pretty much the dealbreaker for me without getting into the arguments about servers and support.
  • The old console debate! well i own a PS3 only because i have always had a playstation console, simply as that! For me the advantages are the blu-ray player which after reading a alot of reviews is one of the best on the market.I find it easy to navigate and online gaming is good and is getting better but its still not as good as the 360 and shouldnt be really ifyou are having to pay for it!,and having 4od,bbc iplayer and itv player is pritty cool as well, the games are on par with the 360,i think they both have there strong titles. The 360 is cheaper but IMO it has a shorter life left than the playstation which didnt hit the shelves till over a year later.
I would say go with the console that has the most appealing games for you, what sort of genre do you play?

depending on which games you play or have played on a gaming PC you may be a little disappointed by the console versions, especially the FPS genre as the consoles have removed many features and dumbed them down.

£100 quid for a mouse for a PC? someone going for a bit of style over substance their as my £10 packard bell mouse does fine.

Sister has Xbox, I have PS3 but up to now I only have Rock Band for it as I just prefer my PC games (CoDMW , CoDWaW, BF2, Race07, IL2 Sturmovik). Use the PS3 for Blue ray as well as Iplayers.

You're not kidding. The basic Microsoft Optical Mouse is the best value for money ever. Simple scrollwheel mouse with two buttons. Mine must be 10 years old now and the plastic feet on the base are long since worn away.

We've got all 3 consoles in our house. I recently got the giveaway Burnout Paradise for PC and was amazed at how much better looking it was than the PS3 version.
