Rossy I just hope you dont have a young child who requires emergency life threatening hospital treatment to be told 'take a ticket' .

Yeah but then he wouldn't ring the AA would he?

That's what this thread is about. Not your idea of leftie Britain.;)

If you guys want equality across the board then this isn't going to happen. Merely pointing out other areas of inequality.

What about if its a doctor who breaks down in the middle of nowhere on his way to an emergency life threatening callout? Should they not be prioritised?

    Or what about male nurses?

    Or fire engine drivers?

    Or policemen?

How do you define an 'old person' - someone who has retired? What if they work on until they're 70? By age? What if they have angina?

Where are you going to draw the line with who is more equal than others, and who gets to make up the rules?

And if you DO think all these people should be prioritised, what happens when someone says they've got kids with them and when the recovery vehicle gets there and there isnt, do they drive away?

Assuming that you're referring to arriving at a hospital, i think its pretty fair for the doctors who are there to prioritise on severity of problem. I dont think anyone would have an issue with that.

But you wouldnt expect a woman to get priority in a hospital just because she is a woman though would you? Or would you - given your 'ladies first' approach?

Hold on that's sexist. Can't Doris drive it down to Asda to get the supplies in?:)

But this is about the AA. He's trying to stir it up cause he doesn't have answers to his daft ideas.

sorry, you're correct. Given his response to the O/P's situation that it was her right not to call a taxi to get her home and that her call should be prioritised, then OBVIOUSLY if you've got a child at deaths door then calling the AA to get your badly maintained car going again is your right to do so.

Being liberal britain, you can always claim off someone and get a nice write up in 'the Sun'

Gene you're such a troll, read what Rossy wrote PROPERLY.

Pglic - you will find they do prioritise what you say above.

'What happens when someone says they've got kids with them and when the recovery vehicle gets there and there isnt, do they drive away?'
I dont work for them, ask them this.

Rossy - now you're changing your tune from Equality Across the board lol. No point responding to any of you.

    No but seriosuly mate

There are times when a priority is a must regardless of someones gender and that can ulitimately be put down to an emergency situation i.e Police/Fire/NHS

I don't feel a breakdown requires them to prioritise because she carries a pair of t*ts.

I'm not sexist. I've got a missus and kid but i just don't think people in some situations should be treated differently
If Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred
