Jackieglasgow - yes please to your offer of a pm - that's very kind of you x
Been a reasonably busy day today, visited DH's parents this morning, then had LO's for lunch, then did ironing and packing for going away tomorrow. Temp here has risen too and so snow is thawing nicely, just hope it continues. Bags all packed for tomorrow and some stuff taken to the caravan already so we'll just have to get up, showered, dressed and brekkie before we pack last of stuff in car before we head off, now really looking forward to it, feeling somewhat brighter again today. Think it's going to be important for me to have a list of a few things to do each day so I don't get overwhelmed and then getting on slippery slope....downwards. Have taken pastry out of fridge which I'm going to use to make sausage rolls and mince pies very shortly, nice to take away. DH is not happy as I didn't buy/make a chocolate log, just didn't feel up to it, may do when we get back at the weekend, I'm not back to work until 5 Jan, woop woop! Have a wonderful new year everyone, and I'll certainly be raising a glass to you all come midnight on the 31st, cheers!

Had a very quiet and lazy day today.
Woken up at about 4am but the thawing snow dripping on the window ledge outside and took me ages to work out what it was!
DH had a friend round this afternoon so left them to play boys games on the XBox (they are both 36!) and retreated to our bedroom to watching TV and have a snooze.
Not doing much this evening although may watch a film if we can agree which one.
Having fajitas for tea tonight which will make a change from buffet food. Need to sort out my finances and get straight tomorrow. Was going to catch up on the washing today but counldn't be bothered so will do that tomorrow.
Hope everyone who is under the weather feels better soon :grouphug:0 -

Evening all, just popped in virtually in transit to switch my heating on for a couple of hours then I'm off again swithching between Dds.This afternoon I took youngest DD to buy some new curtains for her dining room to cheer her up a bit as she is worrying that she won't be able to get a job in the new year and we saw some lovely ones in Paul Simon that she liked so we got them and put them up this afternoon.I had a lovely CXhristmas and last night eldest Dd had a party for all the family including extended ones and there were around 30 off people there which was lovely a good mix of the youngest at 17 weeks to DD's pa-in-law at almost 80.Great time was had by all and the children were on their best behaviour and lasted out very well untill almost mid-night.Only a few more days of too-ing and fro-ing then life will get back to normal with no more bank holidays for a few months .It seems to be permantley Sunday at the moment. Mucks up ones inner time clock.Wwell time to get a wriggle on as I'm off on my travels again.just got to get a few more changes of clothes.I got thoroughly spolit this year and got lots of pressies from Santa.Far too much chocolate and lots of tins of biscuits and smellies which was great.
I do hope everyone here had a great Christmas and I wish you all a very Happy and peaceful New Year

I had a bit of a nightmare getting to and from Cardiff on trains today  Turns out one of the train company's (Arriva) was striking, but this was only announced this morning at 9am! We managed to get train ok to Cardiff, but it was packed. Coming back though they had cancelled almost all the trains, including the non-Arriva ones . We waited for one train with hundreds of other people, it was 45mins late and jam-packed. And it only went as far as Swansea, the town before mine. Luckily my friend's hubby kindly drove me home!
I didn't even buy much. A dress in the Monsoon sale which I haven't even tried on yet so not sure if it fits. And I got a lovely vintagey small pink/white jug for £3 in Boots sale. That's all!
I bought a very non OS chinese on way home too. I was going to have salady bits and cheese&crackers but I was cold so wanted warm food.
To be honest I'm fed up of eating crap, stodgy, heavy, sweet food and really want to get back on Slimming World. But I have dinner at parents tomorrow, and meal out with girls on Thurs to contend with. Plus I have leftovers which I don't want to waste.bargainbird wrote: »PS What's this about pepperami ????:o
