Its warmed up here, And we have light rain that has started to take the snow away.
Had a lovley night at my moms last night. We got back at about 8:45 and the twins were in bed for 9:00. Both up at there normal 7:00 this morning.
The house looks like a bomb site and the girls have only been up a couple of hours.
The twins are off to my moms and dads today for a few hours. Im not sure what the wife and i are going to be doing???? Iv askd if she wonts to go out somewere but iv not really got an answer.
Got no plans for any meals today so we will have to sort that out at some point. If we go out then we might have a pub meal.
Well thats about it not a lot really going on here today.
I hope taht you all have had a nice christmas ....
Enjoy your day what ever you are all doing.

Morning all,
Lools like a nice day here, but we are due some rain later on. Had a nice day yesterday 8 for lunch, I took the gammon out to cook it and it was rancid _pale_ really turned my stomach, it was from sainsbugs and in date, my mum (who bought it) will take it back, OH had to run up to the co-op to get another one.
My Bil has been poorly, he has always suffered with his chest, over xmas it got worse and worse, my sis took him to A+E yesterday as he was having trouble breathing, his lungs are full of muck and they have given him 5 different tablets to clear it, and strict rest for a week, yesterday my dad's chest started doing the same,I just hope he does not get worse as he is so frail.
So onto today, I have 2 washes to do, and I want to have a good clear through, and tidy up, dd is off to the gym later on with my sis, and OH wasts to go out for an hour or so, we will need to get little dog out for a good run too.
Dinner tonight will be cold meat, with wedges and probably peas, and meat left over after that will be frozen.
Ok better get on, take care all xx0 -

Bitsy cant bear the thought of hitting the shops , i need a break from shopping , sales just dont do it for me
have a good day eveyone xx
((hugs)) to all the poorlies and sad x0 -
Good Morning:wave:
Nice to read what everyone is up to. Unlike Neave's kids mine were very busy at work with the sales at Bicester Village where DS1 works and the local co-op for DD. DS1 was acting as gate keeper/ bouncer at the door as he is a big lad:eek::eek:
I feeling a bit down in the dumps today if Im honest. Im frustrated because there is stuff I want to get organised around the house but im not up to it yet. The excitement of xmas is wearing thin and reality bites again. Still it was a lovely couple of days :T:T
We still have gammon to use up and veggies etc so our meal will be based around that. Im looking forward to something fresh now and plan to go to Costco in the net couple of days. I have to get back on track with meals and need to make some drastic cuts as my budget has gone astray.
Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning All
just me and DD up - step kids at their mums, DH was working into the earlier hours, DS1 has sucummed to the lurgy and has taken tablets and gone back to bed and DS2 is just lazy
My living room needs sorting - if a burglar came in and ransacked the place you really wouldnt be able to tell... DW needs putting on and I think I'll braise some steak in the slow cooker.
Have some gammon left which I might make a gammon and egg pie with if I can get away from DD for a while....I'm her playmate today and she has painting and hair playing on the list....
Rained here last night too but left everything slippy - I am hoping my car will be able to get defrosted today!
Bitsy I know what you mean about being ill - I had a cold and then a few weeks later got the flu - I feel like I've been ill for months!

Morning all - hugs to everyone who needs them or just wants one - hep yourself - they're free!!!:grouphug:
Have been unwell last few nights - think my stomach says I've eaten too much and all the wrong stuff.....
Christmas was a quiet affair just me, DH and DD....and that's just how we like it....even if part of the ceiling in the hall came down yesterday!!!
Have been a little down over the last few days, not entirely sure why, but am sure I'll get through it.
My first new years resolution - starts todays - to post on this board regularly!!!!
So - the plan for today:
Breakfast - pate and toast, then on with houswork whilst DH has a look at the ceiling!
Have a good day all xxxx0 -
Morning,we've still got lots of snow lying, but it is drizzling and a good 5 deg warmer so hopefully some will shift.I may head into town,I've got M&S vouchers that DSons got me burning a hole in my pocket!
DSons still in bed,DH has lit the log burner,as I also am dreading the energy bills:eek:.When you've had people staying you cant really ask them to huddle under a blanket, and heating in the spare room, and conservatory on,which we dont do when its just us.
I shall have to inspect the turkey,as DH sorted the tea last night when we got home from the match, and I don't know what is left.Still got gammon left too.I took mince pies to the match, its all season ticket holders round us,so known everyone for years-its become a bit of a tradition that we take goodies. They all seemed to like them-Mr.Kiplin& eat your heart out was one comment, and this pastry is gorgeous another.I did blush a bit about that as it was Sainbugs dessert pastry I saw reduced about a month ago and froze:rotfl:
Right better go-all bin collections have been cancelled here, but they are having a ' bring your own rubbish' collection for 3 hours in a local car park,so want to get rid of some bin bags.
Have a good day.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all,
We have the dreaded cold/chesty cough lurgy here. Wish I had some energy to do something. Hugs to all who need them seems like we are not the only ones suffering. Has anyone who has got better from it got any old style cures?

Morning All. Snow still lying here, but hopefully will disappear soon - at least it's above freezing today. Have walked doggies but didn't enjoy it much - am suddenly developing streaming cold. No idea where that;s come from - but hope it stays with me not passing to DH or DS. Lunch will be HM soup and leftovers, supper likely to be sausage and mash as the sausages should have been eaten by yesterday! Forgot they were there to be honest. Turkey leftovers will easily keep a few more days.
Nothing more exciting planned - will probably snooze on the couch and just enjoy being lazy!
take care and keep warm!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0
