Bin day tommorrow, the back alley from our house to the end of the terrace looks as if aliens have landed, so I parked my 3 aliens out the front.

Sockdrawer, sending your DH good luck and coping vibes. Has he had an MRI before? They're very noisy; apparently I was very rare to fall asleep in mine (had it 6 weeks after DD and was permanently shattered so nodded off
!) You can take some music along if you want so can have your favourite music on the headphones (or you can here in Bristol!)
Froddington, I'm taking the BD away from you and shutting him away at the bottom of the garden. Big hugs love, I'm with you with this and it's so grim isn't it x
Cleaned the kitchen, kids in bed, going to sit down and do more of the everlasting scarf - only about another 2.5 feet to go now!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Is it a unique house? Is it one of many on a modern estate or something individual? Will the opportunity come up again? Is it practical/possible to go ahead whilst your OH is away? We bought our perfect (within budget restrictions ) house at the frankly scary end of our budget four years ago and have yet to regret it despite woodworm, dry rot, etc. I may change my mind when the interest rates start to go up again though. Ours is unique, and it was then or never.
Hugs for the poorlies, the worried and the really rather fed ups amongst us.
Off to put our bedding back on and to chastise the children who appear to be having a knee sliding disco rather than sleeping.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hex2, just a thought but on your Landy if you "dip" your clutch does it disconnect the drive IYKWIM ??
If not it may be the release bearing arm thats "shot".

Black dog shooed away to a bright place for everyone. My shaggy dog is getting used to his new sleep pad and looking a little grumpy his old basket is not there! We had a nice little cuddle session to cheer him up!

Pud - it is a 2000 110 defender TD5. I don't understand the rest of the words
. Apparently it was the dreaded 'grub screw' falling off or something last time and DH says it is probably that again. Basically when you you try and put it in gear nothing at all happens and you are stuck in neutral, like it isn't connected to anything. Luckily this time he lost 5th but managed to push it into 4th, and we could use high/low diff to take off on junctions so got home ok. Should know more tomorrow as we managed to get the garage to take it tomorrow instead of waiting till Tuesday.

Now that's a good idea. I had one a few years ago to check I was clear re. MS (which my mum had) and you couldn't do that then. I'll take an mp3 player along. He's acting unconcerned, but that's men for you. He is worried underneath really. Hopefully this will get to the bottom of it. (He has congenitally flat feet, which have always caused him pain, but in the past few months has lost all power to his left foot, is having constant leg cramps, can't move his toes, and is only having the MRI because I questioned why he was limping more than usual and his foot seemed to be "slapping" down. *sigh* men!
Thank you for all your lovely good vibes! I'm sure this will show up something that can be dealt with. xx
Jennyjewell Oh hon. How miserable for you. I hope you get a good nights sleep and it's all improved in the morning. xSaving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

although I find full body scans claustrophobic and HATE having my head clamped (which they do when they're checking you have a brain...). Best of luck to your DH sockdrawer - tell him to relax and prepare to be bored
the biggest problem at this time of year is people being on holiday so having to wait for the results.
Off to find some data to support the research paper I've just writtenwell you know what they say, there are lies, d*mn lies and statistics

I don't know whether you'll be able to use an mp3 player as they play music to you from their radio/cd player or they did when DS had one. So you might be better off just taking a couple of cds with you.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
