still havent done much off my list. however the house is relativly tidy, i just need to wash the dinner dishes and pots which will do after greys has finished.
Spoiled Brat rant alert below
i went to view the house that i really want and its stunning and i want it now :j *stamps feet* however im being realistic and if its on the market when OH is back then we will go for it as I would even pay asking price for it if it came to that which i was refusing to do beforehand. its a huge house for the money even though it does need work doing. nothing structually by the looks of things though
it does need about 20K of work doing to it, but its livable and the 20K would be new kitchen, new bathroom, new carpet/flooring throughout, every room decorated, new front door and proper iron gates put in to block the drive off from the street and new double glazing. im probably well overestimating but if we did get it, it would be such a project as it would give OH something to do when he is home from sea. He could quite easily have all the bedrooms done in 2 home stints which would stop him from being bored.
i have a habbit of planning ahead so am trying not to do that even though ive already worked out our finances for the next 5 years with both renting and buying but even though my heart is running away with this house, my head is saying if i dont get it then i go back to the original plan of staying put here for a couple more years to save a bigger deposit, its just that this house is sooooooo perfect for us. its got 4 beds and 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms are all a great size so it is a forever house for me and I WANT IT :mad:0 -

Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Whew. Just got lekky back on after major power out here. It had it's benefits though. Candlelight is beautiful, and you can knit
and all the shops shut early, so your dh comes upstairs and pours you a glass of wine, because who knows what time it is, in fact, where's the fuse box.....
Hubby has an MRI scan tomorrow at 845 so I may not be around until the afternoon. Send him "nothing too serious" vibes please ladies?
Greenbee. So glad the appointment went well. x
Mumof2 wishing you strength for tomorrow, and greenbee is speaking a lot of sense in her advice to you.
Jennyjewel hope you're feeling a bit better soon. Rest?
Maxonian I am gradually realising I have had a similar problem, probably moths on DH's flytying random bits and bobs, and keep having to tie together strands of wool. It's Rowan so it surely can't be them?
Fedupandskint That's a brilliant achievement. Well done!!! :T:TSaving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.

Am sick of wearing the same old rubbish, so really wanted to sort out my wardrobes. I lost so much stuff with those horrible wooly bear things. I still have clothes, I just dont know what goes together.seafarers_wife wrote: »Spoiled Brat rant alert below

Having spent the last hour and a half working on the phone with the useless indecisive bloke, I'm not feeling too fabulous myself. I think he's cross that I won't talk about today's appointment, but I've told him I won't discuss personal stuff when we're working. I do feel its a bit mean as its all clear, but don't want to go back on my position on this. I've told him we need to talk (and not wait until he can be bothered to work out what he wants out of life, I have my own life to get on with), I need to get into the flat, so he needs to get his act together and sort out a time and place to meet soon.
Need to decide whether to cancel next week's blood tests and arrange to see a different GP, as I don't like the one I saw last time...0
