How much do you spend on alcohol per week/month

  • In my head I am a teetotaller. In reality I love a glass of wine after work whilst the news is on and I am reading the paper! Then after I have eaten I dont drink a thing. It varies from week to week really. I never (cant afford to) pay more than a fiver for my wine so some of it is pretty revolting. I have also learned not to drink anything over 12.5% as I will have an awful hangover next day. I wish I didnt drink as my guilt complex is now at its highest but I enjoy it -and I dont hurt anyone and you wont see me staggering about the streets on Sky telly or sitting in a gutter completely out of it!!!!! If I get !!!!ed I just fall up my own stairs and thats that!!

2-3 bottles of wine a month, maybe 1-2 bottles of spirit and year and a crate of lager for parties/ social gatherings a few times a year....probably about £5 on average

    Nothing.

We've both got health problems & take meds that proscribe alcohol. So, no contest!

  • No idea - drinking at home is in the grocery budget, and drinking out is in the socialising busget

I'll move this to the Grocery Shopping board, where you may get more responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
