I do agree with izoomzoom in that it does seem odd that the HA would let the flat go to someone who can't evidence "neediness" so to speakThere are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0

To be honest this doesn't sound quite right to me.
SO is suppose to help people get onto the property ladder when they normally would not be able to.
If this guy has cash, then what is stopping him buying something else. He clearly has the means to get on the ladder. He might not be able to get a mortgage through which is why he is buying with cash.
I am also really surprised that your HA is not imposing criteria onto who you sell to. Surely whoever you sell to will be required to meet the same conditions that you need to in terms of your lease agreement - check your lease agreement. Surely it has alsorts about not subletting, must live in property etc etc
Sorry to be a negative in all the positive feedback your have had, but SO is no walk in the park.
TBH mate thats exactly what I thought.
But I called them and thats what theyve told me I said this to the HA and they dont seem bothered at all. I said this to the HA and they dont seem bothered at all.
I dont want it to get to the exchange stage and then be stuffed over:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
 This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0

the other angle is that he may be muslim, and AFAIK there are no islamic mortgages for SO, although, if course there MUST be, as im sure there are loads of muslim faith people living in SO??? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? see what happens with the one today and the one tomorrow. accept his offer stating that you can;t take off the market until " financial position is confirmed with your sols"....how about that? Then he can prove he has the cash? There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0
