they said that I can say "id like nearer to asking price, and will continue to market but take no other offers unless he falls through" Does that sound OK ?

That sounds fair to me. I guess seeing as the valuations were higher than expected and therefore your profit greater, you aren't "losing out". However do you have a "good feeling" about the buyer. Do you think that he will fall through/ pull out?

I thought he might - as he gives the impression of an investor. And you are not really able to sublet SO property.

However, my partner reckons that he might want to buy it for family, he is an asian guy, (and not jumping to any cultural conclusions of course) I reckon the more I think of it the more I think my OH is right.

He is paying cash too. Which kinda gives me the jitters, but Im not sure why really
Just feel that all day we have been really up & down and confuzzled!!!!

It is such a stressful thing. I have spent the whole time thinking that my BTl investor will increase the price on exchange which she has not done. Didn't exchange again today BTW!!!

I guess you could say, will take off the market when evidence of searches being requested is provided......

    Hiya

To be honest this doesn't sound quite right to me.

SO is suppose to help people get onto the property ladder when they normally would not be able to.

If this guy has cash, then what is stopping him buying something else. He clearly has the means to get on the ladder. He might not be able to get a mortgage through which is why he is buying with cash.

I am also really surprised that your HA is not imposing criteria onto who you sell to. Surely whoever you sell to will be required to meet the same conditions that you need to in terms of your lease agreement - check your lease agreement. Surely it has alsorts about not subletting, must live in property etc etc

Sorry to be a negative in all the positive feedback your have had, but SO is no walk in the park.
