Just wanted to say to Soulie that I'm thinking of you & your family & hoping your brother turns up safe very soon. I'm not on facebook, but have Tweeted about him to the celebs I follow, as well as my friends, so hopefully that will spread the word even more.
Shelly, hope your Dad is out of hospital soon.
Big hugs to everyone-seems like a lot of us need them right now.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

((((((Hugs)))))) to everyone, especially Soulie and Shelly.
Still not done any cross stitch this year :eek:. Determined to get the lap-frame out and finding the Elegant Lady to get some work started today.
First though, I have to get the bread started and a curtain lined for our bedroom. Totally converted to lining curtains with fleece blankets/rugs...they are reasonably priced, usually close to the curtain/window size, good insulators and easy to sew in!! In a cold, old house, I need all the help I can get!! I have even used them as curtains on their own (just added the rufflette tape, no hemming), together with roman blinds...they have made such a difference to the chilly bay window!!
Perhaps I will manage to get to the cross stitch this afternoon. Also want to get some small coaster projects sorted out for the weekend. We are off to Scotland on Friday around lunchtime. DS2 was supposed to be attending a selection weekend for the Scoltand U-18s rugby team...but he has hurt his foot, so can't go. He still wants to go north to see his gran though...we haven't been in Scotland since last summer, so are due a visit. So I need small hand-held projects. Think I will make a start on coasters as presents for Xmas 2011..planning or what!! Well, I had hoped to get some done this past Christmas...managed only one. Since no-one knew they were getting them, they haven't missed them..IYSWIM
!
Right off to get dressed, then weigh out all the flours etc for the bread....four loaves to make, which should last us just over a week.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has Flitterflies and/or Dictionary of Love by bothy threads they can;);) me? would be immensely grateful as my fingers keep creeping towards the 'add to basket button!!!':o:rotfl:
*Louise* I forgot to ask if you had popped that SAE in the post ready for the SWALK chart?
If anyone else wants then I'm more than happy to oblige as long as they can do as Louise did and send an SAE as I can't work my scanner!:o x
I also got My Fair Lady and the new green geisha (both maia - I can't spell her name haha) if anyone wants a;), then the same applies re sending an SAE, just pm me xxNSD November 1/20 :money:

Have also decided to put off 'think green' as the thought of doing it is actually filling me with dread! Will try for next month, and have almost finished one page of the BNSLP although am leaving the backstitching and the border until the end as i think they're going to be easier done as a whole. So now off to start Mickey Salutes America (loads of blocks of colour yay) by sewing it onto my frame - hoping to get a fair amount done today among everything else as trying to do my living room up as well as catch up on my housework which got left by the wayside when I had the dreaded lurgy!
Hope everyone has a fabby day!xxNSD November 1/20 :money:

Just read some extremely sad news on FB and I am not sure that Soulie will be able to get on to post in the near future. It seems that they found the body of her brother this morning. I am not sure on the details but wanted so send my thoughts and hugs to Soulie and her family at this hugely sad time.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenge Member #53.
