ok peeps..... i'm after some insider knowledge......

I have a lovely new large hoop for my cut thru..... so come on give me the secret technique for putting the aida into it. I loosen it - put it in - tighten it up - one end pops out. I move around catch it in......... another bit comes out.......

come on..... whats the trick - I've never had this problem with small hoops.

  • I find when using a small hoop it is harder to use new stiff aida...you can either wash you aida first, or if you get the aida in the hoop don't tighten it too much until you have worked it a while and then pull at the aida outside the hoop until smooth and then tighten..

  • I have the monopoly board...pm me you email...xx

  • Evening all,

Just caught up with the thread again, so big Zen hugs for all who want or need them, and mega size ones for Soulie and her family - keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I've been concentrating on my Sunflower Girl, so here's how it looked last week - http://s618.photobucket.com/albums/tt268/rowantanner/?action=view&current=SunflowerGirl-Week1-10Jan2011.jpg

and here's how it looks tonight - http://s618.photobucket.com/albums/tt268/rowantanner/?action=view&current=SunflowerGirl-Week2-17Jan2011.jpg

It's coming on nicely but still a lot of work required.

Also a blast from the past - Mum has finally sorted out my longstanding zebra UFO that you all encouraged me to finish and this is what I brought home from my parents' yesterday - http://s618.photobucket.com/albums/tt268/rowantanner/?action=view&current=ZebraCushion-Jan2011.jpg//

I've totally come to terms with this piece and it looks really good on my grey sand colour sofa. Yesterday was the 9th anniversary of my grandma's death, so thank you all for encouraging me to get it finished so that it would stop haunting me.

    You really are :A !

    All the best!

Hi All, I would like to join the cafe if i could :o

I have finally started a small x-stitch after over 10 years of no stitching :j

It's only a bookmark for my husband - I am going to start a large disney one after i finish this :)

I'm really enjoying it again - i had forgotten how much i loved cross stitch.

Mountain Ash. I love the Zebra cushion! Using the Zebra fabric around the edge really works and complements your stitched panel perfectly.

    As for me.....
In terms of seperate stitches I have done quite a bit of progress on the Rennie Mackintosh sampler but it doesn't really look much because they are just long lines of stitches (I'm doing the main border at the mo)
It's quite nice though not to be having to change colours every 5 minutes.
