ooh thank you i quite like big cards so might have to sneak some of those past the oh too lol.

Yep i come from barnsley lived in lancs for about 5 years but moved back again with a stop off in dewsbury for 10 years.

hehe at those prices, he can hardly complain, ;) I would recommend the special card blanks for them though for easier use, unless you were going to make your own?

I'm originally from just outside of Leeds, but we moved to a tiny villiage nr. Wetherby (which is near Harrogate & York, about 13 miles from Leeds), when I was 13, my paternal side of the family already lived there, so it was great being nearer to them, as I spent most of my baby/toddler life there after my parents split up.
Moved to Derby almost 14 years ago, and it's nothing like 'home'
    :(
OHHH soulie ..... now I've changed my christmas card ideas after looking at your link (yours had pks of 5 for £1 but OOS... booo) .

Am gonna get a pack of these (or similar). Then stitch a block square of multicolour diagnal stripes to place behind it. (hope that makes sense).

hehe shame they were out of stock!
But that's a good idea, nice and simple too, but effective!
That's one reason I hate stitching cards, too much detail in a little space takes far too long so that idea would be perfect for nice quick stitched cards!

But the sale was on at imag-e-nation, but to be fair, they ALWAYS have stuff for sale at £1 or less. I do like the £1 section though, and they keep adding stuff to it, but they have the flippin' range there too, and often put together packs for a quid or two, like this set for £2.50 (which I got a couple of), and this for just a quid!!! {I got 5 packs of those earlier in the year, and seeing as there was some left, I thought it would be rude NOT to get a couple more lol}.

    Ohhhhh - that is bookmarked!!

And free delivery over £5 - bonus

    Thanks Soulie :D

(Although I won't be saying that after I have browsed some more and spent money haha):rotfl:

    hehe you're welcome!
I spent £20 earlier too lol Got 3x of those flippin' christmas sets at £2.50 each, 2x classic flippin' men sets, 2x flippin' teenager sets, 2x flippin classic women sets, 1 pack of the large flippin' black cards & 4 of the small cards then 1 pack of christmas dames to take the order up to £20

And yeah the £5 spend for free delivery is great! It does take a little longer to come but at those prices you don't mind waiting a couple of extra days lol

Michael Powell has personally responded to my email of mild complaint and agreed that this is an issue - he says it was raised some time ago and that they redesigned the chart..... New chart will be in the post soon. How's that for service? :j
:T brilliant! well done! am so pleased you got a nice response.

Does anyone else find that if you go a few days without stitching you miss it but find it hard to get back into? That's how I have been this week :o
yes. totally. that's my problem now... too tired after work due to new stressful job, too much to do at home to justify some 'me time' and when i do get a few minutes, it feels oddly intimidating.

Chicky - I think you are right to be proud of your eldest lad, getting rid of his dummy is a huge step. My son sucked his thumb and we had real problems breaking him of it. At times I wished we could cut his thumb off - joking :rotfl:

Soulie - thanks for the link to imag-e-nation, stumbled across the site before but forgot to bookmark. Have jsut spent £10, so much for my promise to hubby not to but any more!!! How do the Flippin cards go together do I need special card blanks?

Tryinghard - I followed your link to the London kits and then had a little browse - like you do. I like these Santa House kits (thanks to Shelly for sharing how to do this type of hyper-link). Has anyone tried one of these. Don't think the price is too bad, may have to invest in payday.

Off to continue with decorating my son's bedroom now, was supposed to have made an early start. Oh well no one knows - except you.
