I got my WOCX today too. I really do like it
I like the Forever Friends (think it would make a good tea cosy, so I might even do that) and the lovely butterflies. I am having my bathroom redone, so I think they would look good framed and put up in there.
I think I have decided that I will swap from Cross Stitcher to their other one - is it Cross Stitch Gold until Christmas, and then when mum renews for my present she can swap to WOCX. So fed up with not liking anything in CS.0 -
yes I found WOCS :j on my mat when I got home so looking forward to having a browse of that later0

Am pleased Tom won as it's good to see a nice guy win something without forgetting his manners. Now Helen has backed down from her plan B dd and I can set up the 24hr cake company we keep joking about - an online company you can contact 24hrs and we will turn up with cake! I already have several interested friends and that is where the business plan ends atm:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
biker- that's good news, hopefully it continues to shink before yoru op xxx
MrsM - Sorry to hear about Roger
Pap- That looks amazing framed, I can imagine the bride is over the moon with it:T
Anyone get WOCS today? Some lovely designs in it. And the free tin is better than the one I got with a different mag the other month!
Biker, MrsM & Pap - ditto what Louise said :j
My first issue (I did the 5 for £5 subscription) of WOCS arrived today. Some nice designs in it but not sure if there are any that I will actually stitch, but for £1 I'm very happy. Should I cancel my subscription now???
Now to the main question - I've finished the outlining on my MP Wedding Sampler and only have to put the names an ddate on it. It's for my nephew and his wife (to be), should I put John and Jane or Jane and John? I assume etiquette says I should do the female name first but what do you think seeing as it's my nephew?
Any thoughts gratefully received.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I had the same dilemma - my cousin was the groom. However, I went for alphabetical in the end - which put the bride's (much longer) name first. It's not like your pair's names are very different in length, so whichever way round you put them it's going to look about the same....
I haven't helped, have I?
However - inspired by reading this thread I have actually done about an hour's stitching tonight - the bloody brown and orange thing is a little closer to being finished. I will be so glad when it's done :rotfl:. Then I can take it and the MP wedding sampler to be framed for Xmas presents.0
