Well no stitching for me, I have the pleasure of 4 bus journeys to get DS1 to the orthodontist and back. Need to take DD with us cos I no one else could pick her up from nursery - she is not happy about it cos she loves nursery :rotfl:
By the time we get back, pick up DS2, make dinner I need to go to work, got the police coming to speak to us, one of my colleagues has been threatened and harrassed so they are looking into it.
Currently working on the Seafarers globe I unearthed last week, it's nearly done and planning on some miniature stitching after that's completed. Might grab an hour to stitch before bedCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Morning ladies.
Everyone's work is looking fantastic.
No stitching done here over the weekend though I did get the threads sorted in the last unsorted kit yesterday. Was quick and easy as they were already on cards so I just labelled up my plastic bags and moved them.
Hoping to get some stitching done this afternoon though I might take my time sorting out a new stash place for my kits. I want to free up the space in the foot stool that I currently use and was going to use a suitcase to store unstarted kits but hubby suggested the cupboard/sideboard in the lounge. It's mostly empty so won't take long to move the few things around to make room.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Morning all. Ever so sorry for posting a rant at the weekend and then never coming back. The parcel never arrived on Saturday, which for some reason irritated the whatsits out of me and I was extremely grumpy about it all Saturday.
But then I went up to my stash and found a project I had started... but of course not finished.... and then I got all excited about that instead!I don't have any pictures of it at the moment, but essentially, it is a set of patterns I got from a desk calendar I had a few years back. They are angels, with words underneath; things like Love, Hope, Perseverance, Friendship and stuff like that. There are a good number of (I think) and I am stitiching each of them, and then going to make up patchwork edges to each of them, and then make them up into a quilt/wall hanging for my Goddaughter. I think of them as things I want to bless her life with. I will take photos of the pictures, and the progress I have made so far and then I can keep you guys updated. I am so excited about it again, I have taken tomorrow off work so I can sit and watch Wimbledon and do my stitching!

Gosh you have been chatty over the weekend. I took a group of Cub Scouts to London at the weekend and we actually managed to get to go up Downing Street and have our photos taken on the steps of Number 10. Just had to tell everyone that.
Now for the comments:
Louise - love the Christmas designs I especially like the Christmas Magic it looks so effective yet simple. Agree they would look lovely in a double aperature frame.
Erics-Mum - I've used Thread Heaven after being recommended to use it by someone on here (sorry ladies I can't remember who recommended it to me). I used it when I was stiching with gold thread and it was a Godsend. I can't comment on the other two things as I've not done the first or heard of the second.
Observer - I've stitched in plastic canvas but wasn't too keen I found it very bulky. I prefered to use the card canvas but you do need to be careful not to rip it.
Catchooky - love your makes they all look great.
ejs2311 - love the cards especially the thank you one.
PAP - your Eye is georgous and you finished it so quickly you should be very proud of it.
Chicky - I thought for a long time (well days) that it was Louise who was stitching the eye because of her avatar.
Craftygranny - thanks for the link to the offer of 5 for £5 on WOXS I've just ordered them. Will need to remember to cancel the DD after my first issue.
Sweetcarer - how did hubby's interview go? When will he hear?
Sorry for the long list but like I say you have been very chatty.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Oh absolutely - but I am afraid I might end up sitting there just holding the needle and not stitching if it gets exciting.

Thanks Louise, thats the item
Will look into buying one soon and see how I get on with it.
At the moment I am looking for a old sewing table/box in wood to keep all my stash in. My stash lives downstairs and all the plastic boxes don't look right so I want something nice to replace it. I have seen a fair few on ebay, just have to win one now :j0 -
I have one of these for my stash: it sits nicely next to the sofa. I am thinking I might get another one

They do a longer one as well if you need it x0 -
They are nice TMIF, however I am looking for something old or retro, on legs. I don't have that much stash so only need something small ish and these look so nice. My favourite so far is a teak box, looks like its 1950's0

:j Just ordered my 5 for £5 WOXS too Ailsb - will have to give each other a reminder to cancel our dds. Thanks craftygranny too
Like the storage box TMIF - not a bad price too - trouble is I would have to find somewhere to store it and up to now I only have a baby sized stash.
Suddenly found myself with maybe an hour 'spare' time - should I convert this into 'stitching' time ..............SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0
