ohh what did i miss??
must admit i am VERY careful about what is said at the mo as there seems to be lots of new people dropping in just to ask for;) then vanish!! and the sceptic in my just doesn't trust them.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Quick update - I've been a bad daughter in law and didn't finish the kingfisher in time (oops!). We're going down for Easter so we gave MIL the other pressie and let her know that the other part was too fragile to post so we'd be bringing it. Am so close to it being finished now though battling with the gold thread is doing my head in!
Only popped in quickly as I did a craft fair yesterday and still catching up from that.
Love the pics that have been posted.Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A

Yes, there was a post about Landisfarne, people must have pressed the spam button and now it's gone. The daughter of the lady who died has taken it over and she was the one who posted.
Love all the pictures and hugs to anyone who needs them xox0 -

I am 40 this year too. The plan was I was going to go to Moscow when I was 40 but that was when my late husband was alive. Now I don't know what to do, especially with hubby not working. I did see a bus trip to Stevange going to visit Betchley Park, Duxford Museum and Cambridge - I am into WW2 esp SOE, women in the war, the holocost (Anne Frank) and aircraft. But we will have to see about the money.23rdspiral wrote: »ooh, sweetcarer, good luck with that! i love emily peacock! and that's a lovely little wedding sampler too. i could do with finding my mojo too. i'm just too stressed i think, even though i know stitching would help!
~ ooh, in Primark (bigger stores) they have emily peacock inspired things like teatowls and mugs with 'Tea' and 'Coffee' written in her style.
Thinking of you Caroline and Chicky. My OH's cousin is going in for her Csection tomorow - i'd hoped to visit today after the dentist but she was in hospital for blood tests. its definately the season for babies!
Sounds intresting about Primark - will have to save up and try and get something. Don't know when though.
I wish the girls (Caroline and Chicky and anyone else) who are expecting all the very best. It makes me smile but sad as I unable to have kids - my dearest wish.
Well update time - I finished all the cross stitching for the pin cushion I am making - just to sew it up and fill it - might even fill it with a wee bit of lavender I have.
Well off to facebook - check on my friends and watch TV and do a bit of sewing.
Kind wishes to all

Anyway, on a kinda related note, be very careful what is said...Sorry for being cryptic. Hope you get what I mean.
~ are you able to hint at what the lady said? i'm surprised anyone would spam us.
~ thank you for the reminder we all need to be aware this is an open forum and perhaps a little more discrete.chickywiggle wrote: »ohh what did i miss??

~ humm, i hadnt noticed, but now you mention it. i do know you arent allowed to swap personal details here, and threads like the card making one are very strict on that.
~ i've participated in swaps of all sorts of stuff on Flickr
~ sorry if i said the wrong thing. i have to admit i didnt think twice about the charity shop booklets - as charity shop stuff is already sold on with the publisher getting no money.

I hope I haven't done wrong as I have done somefor some people - feel quite ill at the thought of doing bad. I am sorry. Maybe I should go for a while - confused.

I wouldn't have said she was spamming us, but she was promoting her own site which technically is against the rules. I didn't do anything about the post but I did think that it was a little bit self promoting & I'm not surprised it was removed.
We do need to remember that these forums are public & what we post can be searched for in Google etc. Some designers are really hot on copying designs & will take action on people who do so. Which is why none of us would ever dream of doing so.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

She just said that she's taken over the shop and that they have various designs for sale in the shop. She did mention some, but I can't remember which ones. It didn't sound as though she'd read any of the other posts before posting, just tagged her 'ad' on the end of the thread.
Sweetcarer, you shouldn't go anywhere! Nobody's done anything wrong in here, we're all just very free with thesmilie. I tag one onto every text I send
