First of all best wishes for everyone with sick family members and for the mums to be. These times can be so stressful.

Second, I've made some progress with my April challenge - the Rennie Mackintosh tile:

For once I think I'm on target :rotfl::rotfl:

^^That's lovely, you're going to be more than on target this month :T:T:T

I have been workign on two pieces. The first is Gorjuss 'New Heights' for my sisters graduation next month:

I hope I haven't done wrong as I have done some ;) for some people - feel quite ill at the thought of doing bad. I am sorry. Maybe I should go for a while - confused.

lovely sunny morning so far here in mid Essex, chilly breeze though. I can't justify any stitching until this evening because I must trim the ivy on the garden fence before the neighbours complain. :rotfl:

Then I've got a last minute dentist appt to stick a loose veneer back on, might have my check up too while I'm there (I'm useless with teeth and had some cosmetic work done in 2009 but I still struggle with oral hygiene and flossing etc).

I've noticed that all your WIP's look pristine - how do you manage it ? No matter how often I wash my hands and the hoop the aida always gets mucky and creased. Where am I going wrong ?

Anyway I do hope we all have a satisfying day in our own ways.

  • Maybe we just iron them before taking the photo ;)

I roll mine and hold the roll as I stitch - I try to get my grubby fingers on the back of the fabric not the front.

Don't you think though, people are much more critical of themselves than others

I've got the dentist tonight too.. hate it... already having panic attacks, and I am pretty sure there'll be nothing untoward for him to find

    morning all

love the beautiful photos posted everyone work looks so lovely, reason i havent posted any photos is that this computer is full and we keep getting the low disc space message and it seems like everytime i plug the camera in it uploads everything even the stuff that already on the puter so im just clogging it up even more. total ludite that i am the kids would be better at the techy stuff than me so ill just sstick with chatting and stitching and admiring your work.

hope all are well (hugs to those who need one)
i thought that post might get removed as it did look a bit like an ad with the link in it.

did some more on the bottom band of the skirt on the back of my scissor keeper - i thinnk the back will be quicker than the front (especially as ive made sure i counted the fabric properly and started in the right place so it wont need unpicking:T) anyway the front had a basket of flowers on it so lots of different thread changes, the back has a big bow at the waist but its all one colour so my thinking is mil may actually get it for easter:)

wont get any stitching done tonight as its youngest DS parents evening and tomorrow im keeping DH company on a long car journey - i cant read without feeling icky in the car so i know id never mange stitching

    have a good day all
