A question for all of you. What do you do with the left-over threads when you've finished a kit ?
Mum's given me loads of hers and I've got my own, all useable lengths and can't bring myself to throw them out. Just sorted them by colour into ziplock bags but not sure if I could store them better ? (PS I wrap my DMC's around those plastic bobbins but they're not suitable for odds and ends without numbers).
So suggestions please !

gonna have to put cabbage patch away now till June when i will know new baby details. Tis all done apart from the wording. I wanted to put her 1st sons and new baby's details on it but after charting the 1st borns name her 2nd one better only be 4 letters long or it won't fit
can see me having to find/ use a smaller alphabet.

It's been working fine for about 1 year and a 1/2, and went on the blink on Friday evening, can only connect via Ethernet (thankfully!)sweetcarer wrote: »My da then nagged me saying I should have money just in case things happen - I have enough to pay it but only can get small amount of shopping this week - hubby gets paid Friday.
Oh what do I do with my threads leftover from kits? I shamefully throw them away, cos they wouldn't get used otherwise.
Didn't do any stitching yesterday, but I plan to put some hours in today. :T0 -

Right, so while I'm deciding what to do with the above mentioned threads, I've been sorting out my Aida and evenweave stash. I'm going to iron the pieces with curled-up corners then put it all into ziplock bags by colour. I've cleared a drawer in my office/craft room/spare bedroom/cat's living room
( I've collected quite a bit over the years in sales/clearances plus by the yard in Florida dirt cheap compared to here.)
I really must not buy any more kits, must use up all this stuff I've had for years.
Not had time for any actual stitching :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I use my left over threads for cards and substitute colours as required.

Success on the Home Hub front, the BT man phoned me today and did a bit of remote assistance and the router has been reset and the connection is back up and running.
Basically the router got its settings in a bit of a twist.0 -
Was just reading an old Cross Stitch Gold and saw an ad page for World Of Cross Stitching issue 158. I think this was out around Nov 2009, but not certain. Has anyone got this issue in their stash? I've taken a shine to the christmas postcards & would love a
;) if that's possible.
