i bought a [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]BOSCH WAA24270GB washing machine last year in the sales which has been unopened and unused till now as it has taken a while to get the kitchen finished.
in the product desription it states 1200 spin speed , but you can only spin in that speed on the cottons wash.
all other programes are 800 spin speed which is crazy my old 15 year old indesit spinned at 1000rpm for anything.
clothes are coming out soaking wet and taking forever to dry. surley comet is responsible for this error wrong description etc.
please comment comet representative

Its up to you to read up on the spec of it.Comet will only list it as per the Bosch description.0

I think that you will be very unlikely to get anything from Comet.
For a start, it was about 1 year since you purchased the washing machine and although there is no definitive timescale given in the SOGA for you to reject goods, it does state that you have a "reasonable time" to do this.
IMO, 1 year (and possibly longer) is well over a reasonable time.
Another point is that most descriptions for washing machines state the maximum spin speed that they do and this the spin speed is normally dependent on the wash cycle selected.0 -
"Comet will only list it as per the Bosch description"
But if that description was wrong, Comet are still liable for the error. They can state that they gave the information in good faith but ultimately it is the retailer who is responsible for the details given as it is them who are selling the goods.
However, as has already been stated, if the washing maching will do a 1200 spin then the advert is correct even if this spin speed is not available on all wash selections.0 -

Thats common sense, as is checking up on the spec yourself or asking Comet when you buy it.0 -
Bit like complaining your car won't go the advertised top speed in first gear.
There's a reason it wont spin woollens at 1200, because it will damage them.
Can't see why the op doesn't wash everything on cottons if 1200 Spin is desired.0 -
would you not expect to be able to choose the spin speed at max when a spin is just run ?
this thing won`t max is 800 crazy if you ask me0 -
Do your wash then after run the separate spin cycle which should spin at the maximum speed for the machine. Only takes a few minutes extra. I do this all the time with my John Lewis machine.0

That is common nowadays. I have a 1600 spin but only on the cotton wash. You just have to respin.0

that is my point the seperate spin cycle will only run at 800 not even the 1200 it is capable on a cotton wash.
so the only physical way to get a 1200 spin cycle is on the cotton wash. utter madness0 -
So how is that Comet's fault?0
