Morning and a Very Merry Christmas to one and all

Have shaken the turkey tradition off this year and we are having a rib of beef instead. Hope it turns out well, it's smelling lovely at the moment so fingers crossed ;)

Waiting for DS, DIL and DGDs to come round so we can all open our pressies, they will be going off to DIL's parents for dinner and then we are all going round to DS's tomorrow so Christmas Day will be relaxing later and tomorrow we should all have great fun playing with the DGDs pressies

Have a good day all xx

It's Christmas day and we woke up to no water due to a burst main in the nearby village, well we have a trickle, it's making cooking Christmas dinner a bit of a challange..hope it's going well for everyone else

    Merry Christmas everyone:beer:

Morning all :) Hope everyone's in good spirits, christmas or not.
Feels like my first "grown up" christmas this year, went downstairs to a little pile of useful presents and was quite chuffed the fam liked my prezzies for them, then got xmas dinner on the go with mum. It's going to be a boozy day :j My dad has given me a wadge of cash to "spend on yourself, not rent" but I can't help but want to save it for rent and emergencies. I feel so old :p

The snow is still bad in south birmingham (have to emphasize it's much worse in the south than north!) and my mum can't drive her car, so it's just me and my dad off to my one nan's today in his little smart. Will be a bit weird as my grandad was diagnosed with altzeimers this year, so rather than running abpout givign people broken heaters, giving out fudge and singing christmas trees from the market, this year he will be shuffling about talking about plumbing in the '60s :(

    Happy Christmas All

Just popped on to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. DH doing the cooking I'm getting into trouble for supervising. So going to sit here and stay quiet, if I can.

Have a lovely day and hope those cooking dinner don't get too stressed and those supervising don't get stressed over what might be going on in the kitchen.

You will have plenty of water outside- its what eskimos have used for innumberable generations - snow .

oh no! i hope it goes okay!
i'd suggest very carefully steaming all your veggies and forget part boiling the spuds.

like ljonski says, use snow :D surely it's not too unhygenic to steam with snow?

  • Happy Christmas Everyone!

We all had a cooked breakfast this morning as SIL from Japan loves English bacon.

We have all opened our stockings and DS and OH are cooking the turkey for a late lunch. DD keeping a low profile.....but there is always the washing up! :D SIL loved his first stockings!

    Have a great day everyone!
