Virgin, SA Airways and BA all fly to Africa, although I don't know if all of them fly to Kenya or not x

BA & Virgin fly to Nairobi but then I'd have to do Kenya onto Mombasa anyway using Kenya Airways anyway. At least if it is a H&J Package then they have some responsibility to get me onward (I hope).

Not too sure whether to try and wait for a late deal or not. I know this is my favourite hotel out of the lot so part of me thinks just book it but I would be gutted if I can't get it nearer the time as the other hotels are miles away, any thoughts?

Is it showing up much in last minute deals now? Maybe could get an idea that way if it is likely too sell out and not be on deals that way.

In which case I would say book it if there's any chance of missing out! :D

It is showing last min at the moment Becs but that's probably cos July is off season due to the rain. Feb and March are high season as they are the hottes and driest months so not sure we will get that hotel, especially as it is the only one in that particular area.

    Decision, decisions!

Just spoken to my travel agent mate, she can get it for £20 less, it's not much different but I suppose it is something. I can't find it cheaper anywhere else :(. My only other option was to try Virgin and use Tesco clubcard vouchers but they are miles higher than H&J anyway!

    £20 less is still £20 less! :)

Although you want it to be as cheap as possible it is still your 30th bday celebration and it would be a shame to miss out on things.

Try and save wherever possible on other things like travel insurance etc :)

    Good point Becs,

I called OH to say about sending the deposit for the Safari and he said he needed to check the dates at work and was just pulling into the office car park so would look and let me know.....that was 3 hours ago

OH never called back! When I asked him about it he says he doesn't remember saying he would call but he has booked holiday! I give up with men sometimes. I have the green light to book the holiday so will be calling my travel agent friend tomorrow, need to check the departure date with her as I am sure she said the 1st and it should be the 2nd!

Went shopping tonight, bought more than I planned but the freezer is now absolutely stuffed! Total was £50.90 so half of the monthly food budget. Told OH he has to get the next lot anyway as I've bought the last two big shops and a little one inbetween. Was also very cheeky as I found a till receipt in my trolley and the buyer hadn't used their clubcard so I went straight to customer services and had them added to my account :o:rotfl:
