Big wave to Kat & Jules!

I will do Becs aka Mum ;)

Last 6/8 weeks has been so hectic, my poor mum has really gone through it one way or another and I just wish life would give her a break for a while, she has been nothing but nice to people and she seems to get !!!!!! on from such a great height :(. She doesn't know it yet but I've drawn up some workings on how I am 'allocating' my year end bonus and I've decided she should get profit share :D, I'm not sure she will take cold hard cash so I will have to think of another way to give her the money!

I've got two blinking exams the week after we get back from holiday! I tried to do some revision weekend just gone but a) I don't feel like it and b)it just wont stay in my head for long enough . I've written up some notes I am taking on holiday with me, thought I would read through whilst laying on my soun lounger, hey I can think of worse ways to revise! Fortunately I only have one really technical one with lots of formulae, the other is quite wordy so it's more a case of reading past exams etc.

I spent a few hours making OH a little present for while we are away, it's nothing really special but we both like the song 'at last' by Etta James so I got a nice brown frame that has a recess in the middle, a bit like a box frame, and I wrote the lyrics out and stuck them in the middle with some little heart gems and some orange ribbon and then round the outside it has some hearts in silver/purple and orange - his favouite colours, both of our names and the name of the island we are going to. I am going to book us in for a couples massage and then give it to him afterwards :D. Woo and I have been discussing the possibility of him proposing...I'm not sure he will but I have promised to text her if he does so she has my permission to come on and post my news if it happens!

I hope everyone else is well, I am trying to get round to everyones diaries but it's taking me a while to catch up :o. Need to update my sig too I noticed!

    xx

I'm here too, but being busy with work and debt busting. Lurking as usual, can't wait to see some pictures once you're back. Have a lovely holiday and enjoy every minute of it!

    Wow! So many replies! :j

I think OH will like the gift, he really loved the scrapbook I did him for our first Christmas together so I just hope the glass in the frame doesn't break on the journey.

Found out at lunch today that most of my work mates were placing on bets whether he would propose or not.....and the majority said no :(, I know I really shouldn't let that bother me but I have been desperately trying NOT to think about it as I don't want to come back disappointed but this has made it worse, I feel like they are all having a bit of a laugh at my expense. Doesn't help that apparently, just before Xmas 2008 (the year we got together) two of them actually made a monetary bet that we would get engaged in 2009....and here I am almost two years later with little sign of it happening (apart from when he may have tried to propose about 5 weeks ago and I made a complete hash of it but that's another story ;)).

Work was mad today which made the day go quicker, only another 2 days at work to get through and I am hoping I can leave early on Friday if I get everything done. Don't feel excited yet but think that may change tomorrow :rotfl:
