Sounds like you had lots of fun!
The OH keeps talking about CenterParcs as he went as a kid. Been looking at prices and thinking about suprising him. Would you recommend it?
How much did you plan to budget for the break?
Also betting all those aching muscles and bikes and badminton will ahve helped with the weight loss
Trying to lose weight myself so think it could be a good break for me.Engaged 25/12/2013 :T

Hi PB!
Centreparcs is actually as much for adults as it is for kids! We all enjoyed it and I would be very surprised if we didn't end up going again next year.
We had a comfort plus 2 bed Villa as it was the same price as the comfort villa but included towels. I was worried about it being cold but our Villa was too warm if anything! We had to keep turning the heating down :rotfl:. The setting is nice and there is so much to do there but obviously it can get expensive, you can book a lot of the acitivites before you go and quite often there are special offers on the website so you ccan save some money there. We did Archery (which was fab), bowling, badminton, table tennis, adventure golf, horse & carriage ride and DD did the gladiator challenge. It was the bike hire that cost the most - £68 . We have said that if (when) we go back then we wouldn't bother, when you book I think you can pay a little more to get a villa closer to the main village square so we would do that instead. Obviously if you have your own bikes then that saves a lot of money.
We could have eaten in most nights as the kitchen area was great but neither of us really wanted to cook and DD is incredibly fussy so it was just easier to eat out, it's just personal preference. I guess most of the villages have a similar set up and there is a pub/cafe thing that has BOGOF most nights on different dishes so that helped a bit.
The best thing for us was the wildlife we saw, lots of it! It's also quiet as you cant keep your car by your accomodation. The swimming is free unless you hire towels so I guess you could do it fairly cheaply. The on site supermarket wasn't to badly priced either.
Does that help?

Wow doesn't sound too bad and you did loads of activities. I think i'll definately look into it for when it gets a bit warmer. Might start a savings fund jar for that... am sure the OH will contribute freely to that one lolEngaged 25/12/2013 :T

ooooh - sounds great! We go on Friday, there are 7 of us (and 2 babies) sharing a big 4 bed villa so worked out quite cheap for us. We are doing a CDWM event every night, so taking the groceries with us foe our respective nights so not expecting it to be too expensive for that.
I was going to borrow a bike from a friend, but would then need bike carrier to get it there. Think I will probably just stump up and pay the hire charge for the convenience of it.
I cant wait - and even more excited for it now I've had your report Jody!

You can get some good deals booking ages in advance! I am already getting emails about booking for 2012 :rotfl:. I would happily go again this time of year as it is quieter and you can't guarantee the weather anyway!

The CDWM sounds awesome EB, very MSE! Some of the massive lodges looked amazing and it works out fairly affordable between a few of you. I would look at booking your bike hire online EB, ours was £24 but sometimes you can get it cheaper doing it in advance. Which one are you going to? Elveden? If so.....look forward to the local US Army base doing jet fly-bys at 8am :rotfl:, who needs an alarm clock when you have tonnes of jet fuel rumbling past!

Well OH and I have decided to pursue our love of Badminton :rotfl:so I have ordered a cheapy set from Amazon to get us started! We can book courts for the local leisure centre online which is also useful!
Met a friend for lunch yesterday and managed to only spend £8 on food and a drink. Then I HAD to get a hairdye because I am going very grey, I'm also out of toothpaste and moisturiser and fortunately both of my favourite products were half pice so I bought two of each :T. Had a migraine today so had to go back to bed for a while but feeling better now so have just put dinner on. Meeting another friend for a Thai after work on Friday which I am really looking forward to.
Been thinking about doing another Scrapbook, I did one two years ago for OH and gave it to him at Xmas, it was full of pictures of things we had done and places we had been along with the story of our relationship. It took me hours and he still says it was the best present he has ever recieved. I was umming and arring whether to do one of all the places I want to visit or all the places we have been (although I used some bits for his scrapbook). Touch decision. I am not overly crafty but I like doing them and I thought it would keep me occupied for relatively low cost.

I saw very cute Scrapbooks in TKMaxx, they were like £5 each, originally £30, they were seriously really good.
I love badminton but have serious problems with hand-eye-legs coordination:D so OH banned me playing.
