I think you're doing really well, you've committed to making some big changes, and really only just started, so I'd keep going as you are. If you find in a few weeks that it's really not working for you, then's the time to reappraise it. A week is such a short time really, your poor body's probably in shock at the sudden change, and trying to hang on to every last calorie. :rotfl:
Fingers crossed for a significant loss next week, keep the momentum going :T

I think you are doing brilliantly and doing it the right way by eating healthily and exercising. I can't add much as I agree with all the previous comments - I admire you for sticking to it and a tape measure is normally kinder than weighing. xx

    G'day peeps!

Didn't do any Wii last night :o, OH was watching Indiana Jones again and then it just got late. Double bubble for me tonight. I will keep plugging away, if I lost 1.5 lbs every 10 days that would still be almost a stone and a half before holiday which is better than nothing. Hopefully as I start getting fitter I will be able to do more intense workouts too which should help.

My boss collared me late last night and told me I was to submit an expenses claim for half of the cost of my suspension bill!! That was a big shock and very kind of him to organise. It's not public knowledge obviously but it's around £80 so is a great help. I was going to claim for my eye test but I wont as they are paying for that, I'll still be £50 better off :D

That's the best way to look at it Jody - a stone and a half by holiday will be an amazing achievement. Weight that is lost slower is supposed to stay off easier too so that's something.

Good news on the payment towards the suspension, I'd be tempted to still claim for the eye test too though! :D

Boss told me to claim the full £29 for my eye test as everyone else does!

Hopefully it means I can put money back into savings soon :j

Great news re the extra bunce Jody.

As for weight loss - I can't really help as I've never been on a diet as such (when I decide that I need to lose weight I either eat nothing for three days, get bored and give up or just do a lot of reading about dieting!), but seems like you have plenty of people who know what they are talking about. Plug away - even if you are not losing masses at the moment you will no doubt be getting fitter/stronger which in turn may mean you can do more and lose more? I dont know, just a thought.

(PS - thanks for explanation re your passport on my thread - that had kept me awake at night :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
