I'm fed up with my bank contacting me

I had a similar experience, I spent 10 minutes making the caller wish he had not got out ouf bed and then demanded to speak to the superviser and made my feelings known.
Highlights of the conversation included:
I told the original caller that I was unimpressed wih their role in the Cadburies takeover and the bonus to the ex idiot chairman. He tried to say that he was just an employee and could not influence anything. I told him that he had called me inspite of me asking not to be contacted and he would just have to take it.
The supervisor asked whether I considered it bad service to call to tell me about products. I said yes. I was assured that I was now on the no contact list. To be fair, so far they have not called me since.
In addition, I didn't have the misfortune with them that I had with Halifax where someone rang up and demanded security questions be answered in order to comply with my request not to call. In that instance, I had to resort to getting a reputation for being rude and obnoxious so that they would prefer a job in the sewage farm to ringing me.
I had asked them nicely previously to put me on the no marketing.
To be fair now that I have had to move due to being sold to Santander, I do appreciate how good RBS service actually was. For example the I could ring my branch up directly without having to use unduly expensive phone numbers.

If that sort of thing makes you feel better I pity that person.0 -
I'm with Lloyds, and recently received a letter saying they had tried to ring me with regards to my account and would I ring the branch asking for a particular person. Somewhat alarming
When I rang they said it was in regard to my house insurance which annoyed me as I'm insured through my building society and paid from another account with a different bank. Sorry to say I asked what house insurance had to do with my bank account and hung up!0 -
Alls you have to do is ask them to remove your details from there marketing list.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Chambta, I don't feel better, but I do now have a better relationship with my bank (RBS). It is only the same as telling a kid off, it was the only thing that was understood. If you feel better letting you bank walk all over you then that is good, if you bank doesn't walk all over you then be happy.
Opinions4U, StClair, DCFC79 By the sounds of it, your advice was already taken by the original poster, it certainly was by me, to no avail. Obviously, try that route first.0 -
In the case of LTSB, go into your online banking and change your marketing preferences to No for all forms, that should stop any contact I find.
Or you can use your local branch they will do it also.0 -

Thanks for that. My mother called them on my behalf and they assured her that they would no longer contact me as per my wishes.0
