I find that funny considering you were singing Admiral's praises on my thread and they're the same company :rotfl:

Can't believe you can get cheaper insurance than I can though, OP.

Kilty - this is what i said about BISL in an earlier thread :

I would second this advice from dacouch.

Sorry , i should have mentioned that in my original post.

We held insurance with a BISL company for 2 years and in that time never had to contact them....

Once the insurance was swapped over into my name the problems began and they didnt know if they were blew up or stuffed !!

I cancelled my policy with them within days of taking it out and kicked up such hell that i walked away from them without having to pay them any cancellation costs.

Avoid them at all costs !

Singing their praises ??? Think you will find that i said they are a reputable company...hardly constitutes singing praises now does it. Its not my fault that you are limited in the choice of companys you use now is it ?

Didnt actually say i would use them to insure my own car ....oh but wait...i dont have to worry bout that seeing as how i havent got one fault claim already and another pending:rotfl:I can part with £170 and have my car insurance dealt with by whatever company I choose to give my business to :D Simples

    Yeah it's hilarious isn't it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Being quoted almost 3k for car insurance...yeah i would say its a scream.:rotfl:

By the way , just out of curiousity , have you got a quote from the Co-Op ? I have never had any dealing with them but theres a poster on her (McKneff) who really rates them for price and service.

I am through Barclays myself (they are the broker) and i pay £150 plus £25 legal cover. Give them a try too.

I'll give them a go :) I'm sure they refused to quote last year with just the 1 fault claim though :rotfl:

    Really ? Wow !

Have you tried Axa ? Hubby was with them for donkeys years and hes had a fair few accidents.:rotfl:He had to leave them this year though as i dont think they wanted his business - he made two personal injury claims against 2 third party drivers who ran into the back of him on 2 seperate occasions.:rotfl:

Your insured by elephant.....it just cant get any worse :rotfl:

Oh yes it can, I wonder if the OP declared they had been refused/declined insurance. After the next accident elephant will pick up on that and not pay out.

I thought that was only when you had a policy cancelled due to fraud etc?

A company refusing to give a renewal quote happens quite a lot as underwriters change their criteria....

Isn't it just like when you get a quote from insurer X online and they say "sorry, we can't provide a quote for the details you have provided" ?

Barclays is yet another BISL broked insurance. Beware anything to do with BISL. I won't touch them with a long pole!
