Be careful about the "have you ever been refused insurance question".

I am not that clear on what counts as a refusal (in this case they declined to renew), but I know it's important to get it right.
A broker would know this and they carry liability insurance too (which means if they get it wrong they have insurance to cover the costs).

So if you are going DIY and not using a broker make sure you answer the questions correctly.
What lisyloo said - it sounds like you have been refused insurance, so I would go with the one who has quoted you the £2K before they change their mind...

I find that funny considering you were singing Admiral's praises on my thread and they're the same company :rotfl:

Can't believe you can get cheaper insurance than I can though, OP.

Singing their praises ??? Think you will find that i said they are a reputable company...hardly constitutes singing praises now does it. Its not my fault that you are limited in the choice of companys you use now is it ?

Didnt actually say i would use them to insure my own car ....oh but wait...i dont have to worry bout that seeing as how i havent got one fault claim already and another pending:rotfl:I can part with £170 and have my car insurance dealt with by whatever company I choose to give my business to :D Simples

I have just recieved a letter from my car insurance company to say that they cannot renew my insurance in January because I have had 3 claims in the last year (including one of vandalism) and 3 claims in previous 4 years totalling 6 claims in the last 5 years.
I rang a few companys and most say the cant insure me and one quoted £2000. Can anyone give advice or suggestions to help with my situation?

£2000 seems good to me. Mine is £1000 for a £1500 worth of car with 3 claims over the last 8 years. I followed all the MSE car insurance steps as well.
