Hi everyone, been very busy tryng to catch up with things and I am getting there, sorted our family portrait pictures in the end so just waiting for our picture to arrive and our images so we can print some off. The one of dd will go in the baubles once we get them printed up too so that is sorted.
Had my craft items arrive today too, no cake stand, stamps or threads... however they did send some lovely papers and card making things so now I have no excuse to not get crafty. I am a bit confused at what to do with some of them but I think googling them may help. I am going to give Christmas cards a go as there are some lovely Christmas papers in there. They were even kind enough to send me a small bag of sequins, ribbons, some chipboard embellishments and card and envelopes tooWill be ordering tulle later, just can't decide what colours I want to use lol and can't seem to find non wired satin ribbon 40mm anywhere either.
I'm in for the secret santa, don't mind how you want to do it, any of those ways is fine by meI'm all excited about Christmas now
Well done on the ebay sale foxy, and the product test how amazing is that! Great news about the amazon seller refunding, hubby got me to order sm ram for him off ebay and like a child at Christmas has ben whining it's not here, when I went to check it out it was being sent from America!! No indication that it was an american seller even at checkout, it even said first class recorded at checkout. Only realised when my update said sent via USPS. If it gets hit by a customs charge I am going to cry
Hope ds is feeling better today Legend, it quite tickled me when you said he was speaking french! I do wonder what our little ones dream about, at such a young age lol
Hope the surveys pick up for you skiergirl, to be honest I haven't attempted the ones in my inbox, need a kick up the bum today lo.
I bet your excited about doing the sofa covers Rufus, I imagine that it takes alot of skill to do though! Is it quite complicated and technical?
I thought you were writing in Haiku then Chel! I can't remember the pattern but I think it might be. I hope the surveys are kind to you today
Well done on the comp win Elysia, was that dorset cereals? If so you will be well stocked for reindeer food. I won a dinosaur sandwich cutter a few days ago, dd is very impressed with dinosaur shaped toast for breakfast and I am impressed too as she refuses to eat crusts and has a knack at hiding them under the sofa or table, yuk! No more crust with dinosaur toast
Glad your keeping up Gill, hope you are doing wellComping wishlist for 2017

Thanks again for the welcome. Am taking Elysia's advice and am starting slowly. Have joined one poll as I thought they would be nice quick little surveys to do between looking after Tab's. I also joined Pinecone a few weeks ago and did my first survey yesterday.
I notice you all have a little challenge of hitting a £2.50 a day target. Like the idea of that but was thinking of aiming for £1 until I get into it more. Will aim to join another survey site next week and build it up gradually.
Well done on all the redeem's and comp wins, find it rather encouraging that everyone is doing well.0 -
Hi everyone
I'm up for a secret santa and happy to go with whatever is easiest to arrange. I'm also happy to do a card swap - it might motivate me to get cracking. I got a big shot a few weeks ago and haven't opened it yet
I had a nice free spins wins yesterday of £25 so am happy :j
DH got back safely, and is helping the man whos blitzing our garden today. He supposed to be going out tonight but thinks he'll be too tired :rotfl:
Hope everyone is okay x0 -
Well done on the win Skiergirl. That's wonderful news. What are you having done in the garden? Ours looks a state at the mo. I hope OH doesn't ache too much tomorrow.
Boat girl - how's the little one? You do whatever you like regarding the challenge, it's just a target to aim for, and £30 a month is not to be sniffed at - it's quite good actually. You'll get more into it, and you'll be an expert before you know it. I still need to pm you that list. If I haven't done it by tomorrow could you just remind me - I am rather forgetful.
Savvy - your pics sound wonderful. What company did you go for? My sis did Venture a couple of years ago. All the pics were wonderful so she couldn't decide, and ended up spending over £1,000. The trouble is, she's split up from her partner at the time, and can only put the portraits featuring only my neice now.
The cereal was for Krave. My DD2 loves it - it's in a new flavour that she hasn't tried yet though, so I hope she likes it. DD2 had one of those dinosaur cutters, it was great. We use it for biscuits now.
On the comp board/thread, someone said you can sort the comps by what's ending soonest, how do you do that, if you don't mind me asking? I'm getting the bug now. I entered some on the local radio station last night. You've got to be in it, to win it.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

We had ours done at Centre Parcs Elysia, it was pret-a-portrait. Considering dd was very upset and crying for the majority of the session we have a few lovely pictures of her, we only spent around 10 minutes with the photographer as dd was too tired and upset so I am pleased we had a nice family photo and one of dd. Set me back £60 for the images and the framed print (of us together) was free with the session. It costs a lot but dd wont entertain the idea of a family picture, this is the first family photo of us since she was born so is priceless.
We have a lady that does them at our local soft play but it's in a shopping mall where a child who will run off will get lost so we have decided against using her for the family pictures. I'm going to see if i can do a makeshift frontroom setting for some christmas photo's, minus super bright lights, a great camera or a white backdrop that stays up lol
There is a button on the top right above the threads which allows you to 'sort by date', I just dont have the time anymore with money making and uni, but you never know. Local comps have much higher odds of winning so check your local papers too. I do warn you comping will consume your entire life if you want to win loads and it's addictive. late nights, lack of housework being done etc lol
I hear reindeer like Krave too... lol
Going to update my blog in a bit if I can remember my passwords etc lolComping wishlist for 2017

Thanks Savvy - that's really helpful. It would be lovely to get a Christmassy photo done too.
I look forward to seeing what you make. Did you want a cakestand? I got the brown spotty one, but it's larger than I expected and not suitable for me. I'll send it to you if you would like it.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Elysia - I was on quidco yesterday and never noticed the competition
so thanks for that :T
We're having the old lawn dug up and the lawn extended as theres too many flowerbeds at the moment, so lots of old plants have been cleared and the nice ones moved0 -
Thanks Elysia, she is doing really well, she is 1 week today and is very contented, the only issue we are having is feeding. she is slightly tongue tied so is struggling with latching so we are expressing as well as perservering with the feeding but she finds it very frustrating.
Have managed my £1 just off one poll. Yes £30 a month would be fine and will certainly build it up after christmas once we are in a better routine.0
