I made an order with Matalan and it didnt track and contacted them just to get a cut and paste email saying it wasnt there and to do another! Have done another today and hopefully this tracks! Same on OH;s account his hasnt tracked as yet but gotta wait 5 days before contacting them! This is seriously a right pain in the @rse!

  • Its the 12th we got to Disney - really looking forward to it and it should be ok as we will all hopefully be better by then. I need to be.

Weird day here. Kids have been to the opticians, so had to deal with DS1 being upset because he needs to wear glasses for reading.

Then at teatime, found the freezer door ajar. Luckily only stuff on the top shelf had defrosted, so I have had to cook off 3 pizzas, 4 burgers and a pack of fishfingers, and leave a whole chicken defrosting the rest of the way in the fridge alongside some meatballs, and I have some cream i have to make a cake with. I'm so cross with myself as I noticed it ajar this morning from me going in for tea last night, pushed it too, but not noticed it hadn't shut for a 2nd flipping time until i went to cook the evening meal. We have all eaten really unhealthily at tea. Not that the kids minded eating fishfingers with their pizza. At least I didn't lose the lot though as it is completely full to capacity and would have lost a lot of moneys worth of goods.

I managed to write a review earlier before all that, but I am doing nothing now. I think I need some berocca too as I am completely shattered.

Ahh Michelle. Bless your DS. It must seem really horrible at that age. The glasses might correct whatever's wrong and he might not need them forever. :)

I started wearing glasses at 6 or 7, and by the time I was 14 I didn't need them. I do have glasses now, but they are almost glass, they are just for driving at night really. I do wear them if I have a headache though, but I think it only works due to placebo effect. ;) Are you feeling any better now?

Legend - that is maddening. I'll get DD to sort hers out tomorrow afternoon. We are out in the morning. DD won some tickets to the cinema in a radio phone in competition. :)

Right I'm off now - see you all in the morning. I hope everyone feels better.

  • Feeling a bit down by a horrible ebayer, they messaged me saying they wanted me to send the item same day they paid, despite post office being shut as they needed it quickly. Saw it the next day so booked a 48 hour courier to get it to them quickly and they sent me a horrible message as I had it couriered which was only done as they wanted it there quickly and then moaned that they could have collected, ummmm no you couldn't! I don't want weirdo's art my house. It has upset me a little bit :(

I am very gutted about having to give the tickets away, they were VIP tickets for great seats and a meet and greet before the show, nevertheless I know that the family going instead will be having an amazing time. Hope you have a fab time when you go Michelle, i wont be too jealous, promise! Sorry to hear about the freezer but on the bright side you are very organised with meal planning for the rest of the week. We have an alarmed one that tells us when the door is ajar, very handy as dd has managed to open the freezer without us knowing but the alarm saved the extra stress of defrosting food.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for Toffee for me Elysia, baby annabell swung it for us with the price, I showed dd both before reserving and she seemed to like baby annabell more, she had a big smile so when Santa works is magic she will be so happy. Also I think it may be good to help her understand a bit more about babies before we have another. Well done on your ebay total this month!! How fantastic, I have only managed £40 but have loads to ebay this weekend, hopefully I can make a fair bit as I have now seen a balance bike I want to get dd for £50 :)

I have sent a request via treat street to find out what happened, me and hubby both have missing transactions and to be honest don't hold out hope of it being honoured. I ordered with mothercare so I wonder if there are problems with certain retailers. Who did you order with Elysia? Pretty annoyed as it will cost a fortune if the next one doesn't track, and the next etc...

Emma make sure you hold onto that money in case they ask for it back, I resigned from a job before and was paid my pension fund which I thought was fab until six weeks later told it was an error and they wanted it back! Hope all is good and you get to keep it :D

My heads hurting, going to do some surveys and see if I can get more than my £1.92 today lol

  • Our freezer is out in the garage, so an alarm would have done no good what so ever. I put it out there because the kids were always opening the old one for ice lollies.

Sorry you couldn't get to go to Disney Savvy. We are hoping we can sneak into the meet and greet bit. DH knows the guy who manages the arena and he said he could probably swing it for us. I still haven't let on to the kids we are going, so it should be magical.

Don't let that ebayer get you down. I don't blame you for not wanting strangers near your house and child.

I've felt a bit better at points today Elysia. Not when I was cooking all that food though. It depends if I am left to it or the kids are being daft. DS2 was being daft a lot today, and had a few slapped legs as he was jumping on the settee and generally ignoring me.

The glasses with DS1 - I am not a vision expert, but he had +1.75 in one eye and +1.25 in the other. Not awful, and like you say, they gave the prescription to him to try and correct. (My own is only +0.75, and +0.25. Not more than glass really. )I just felt awful as we hadn't noticed, and it was only because I went for an eye test, and have a lazy eye, so the guy said take the kids in to get them checked. Otherwise we would have just left him. We've been rowing with him for weeks to read his school book and do his spellings, and he kept saying I can't do it. We thought it was a strop because it was too hard and he couldn't do it, and never imagined he was not able to see it so couldn't do it. Poor love. Will have to have a word with school next week too. Not like he does loads there that will need it yet, but he will need supporting with reminders to wear them. Poor love.

    Morning all

I couldnt sleep, was awake before 4, think its because OH's flight home was taking off at 4 and it was keeping me awake so in the end I got up to track it online.

I redeemed on C yesterday and have enough to redeem on DY once the points change to redeemable.

Been qualifying for quite a few surveys over the last few days, especially on T, seemed to be one after another.

Well done on the surveys Rufus - I felt bad when I thought it was just me who'd got loads over the past week.

I even had a S&S survey this week, and the points went on last night after I posted, and it meant I could put another redeem in. This has been my best month ever but only due to the fact I've been ebaying like crazy. :D

Michelle - isn't it always the way, they play up when you're feeling bad. I had a few moments with DD this week too. I'm glad you're on the mend. Are you doing cha this weekend. I didn't say did I? I took the tests for cha, and my internet crashed three quarters of the way through. My time had run out by the time I got back on. I'm still have problems with it. Technology!

Savvy - I hope you're not coming down with it, and your headache is better this morning. I don't have people call at my house either, so I don't blame you.

I joined freecycle a fortnight ago. I asked for some plant cuttings as the garden is bare from when we had our dog last summer. He was a puppy and dug everything up. Someone replied called Chris, and said I could go and collect loads of plants. I took my Dad with me, as I didn't know whether they were male or female. She was female, and I got some lovely plants, but I was so scared going to a strangers house I'm not doing it again.

Up early to go out. I've a list to do today, so I'll be back on this afternoon.

Don't forget it's free listing weekend, and let's have one last push over the weekend. Anything we earn now will pay for extra's and the January sale. Come on everyone - WE CAN DO IT!!!

Good morning everyone, first load of washing is out on the line, kids are sat in front of a dvd so I am in the process of getting myself sorted ready for my night out - got a busy day ahead, am out from 1pm and have got to drop the kids off with their grandparents. OH has already gone on his golf day, so typical I need to beautify myself and have both kids who no doubt will be under my feet by the time I am ready!
Well done on your best ever total Elysia, I had quite a result yesterday too, although it started quite traumatic. I decided to try on my fancy dress costume for this evening, and as I went to put it on noticed the zip was broken. It was from ebay and described as brand new so naturally I was a little annoyed. I emailed the seller, and to give her credit she was fantastic. She offered me a full refund, which I couldn't accept because otherwise what would I have worn tonight! So I asked if she would give me a partial refund if I could get it fixed. She agreed and I managed to get a friend of a friend to put a new zip in it and she didn't charge me, so I have a little more in my paypal fund than I thought - didn't win at bingo tho :-(
I have relisted a couple of items on ebay this morning, haven't really got time to do any more but am going to try tomorrow morning, or will do in the evening when we are catching up with the X factor!
I hope everyone has a really good weekend!

  • Morning :D two post in 2 days i must be feeling ontop of things lol Nearly at a claim on vo and ms, hopefully next week i can claim. So today i have my long todo list to get through mainly planning, file sorting, food shopping and tidying then hopefully i can do some baking tomorrow.

Foxy- That sounds like a rather calm morning on a Saterday must be nice after what i'm sure has been a lively week. Have a great night out filled with lots of fun.

Elysia- Well done on such a great month of redeems and mooney making. You have set an impressive amount with ebay, wish i could work out things to sell lol. Hope you get lots on your list done whilst have a good day. You were certainly brave with the freecycle you can imagine all the horror stories but at least you took someone and got something you wanted from it.

Rufus- Hope you caught some sleep in the end and your oh get's back okay and has enjoyed himself and treated you to a nice little gift :)

Cha- What a pain about the freezer do you think the seal could be going on it? Hope your DS1 is feeling okay about the glasses now. I got mine when i was 15 and remember how horrified i was even at 18 when i broke my pair i was in tears at the opticians lol Hope DS2 is calmer today and not jumping about the house and stopping you doing things!

Savy- Im with others you have to think about your safety and what makes you feel comfortable. You did the best posible thing by sending it as soon as possible and by courier.

Legend- How is your weekend looking?

To everyone else hope you are enjoying your weekend and happy money making!
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

  • Morning guys. Back to feeling like I don't know what today. Bad pressure in my head and neck. DH left me in bed, and I only just got up and that was to take my antibiotics and some pain killers really.

DH is a bit annoyed as he has to go to leicester this afternoon for a meeting. I hate this time of year. His work is so mental. Normally I don't say a thing, but he has been putting in 12 hour days and more all week, and is doing all day tomorrow, and he seems coldy himself. He can't use me as an excuse either really as there is no one else who can go, and no other time he can do it. Great. So that will be a long afternoon.

Only popped in really as I wanted to share some info on SB. There are going to be two code bonus days next week.

Attention all SBCoder'z we're pleased to announce that Swag Bucks will doing some special things for you guys starting Monday (Oct 31) & also another event which will be MUCH LARGER on Thursday (Nov 3). On Monday the swag codes will not be as large or there will not be as many but it's still a great idea to keep checking in frequently to ensure you do not miss those bucks!

Worth looking out for now we can't get them for videos and games.
