I'd do both, see how much you saved buying the material in the sale and how much you would buy for 'off the shelf'. Is there space in the spreadsheet to do that? Can you add another column maybe?

Ill have a look, thanks for the offer of help with Facebook, I have pmed you xx

    Morning all,

went through my crafty stuff last night and as i too have seen stuff about showing makes on facebook, was wondering about this too. Would just be to see what friends/family thought first, maybe in hopes to sell at end of the year, Is there any chance anyone could point me in the right direction please, I have only just registered (if that's the right word) with facebook so am completely clueless.

Have done my posts on bingo port for today and two surveys already, 5 more in inbox so off to do those now, hopefully i won't get screened out.

Happy birthday to your daughter esmer hope you get to enjoy the time you spend with her today.

To all poorly people, sending big hugs, hope you all feel better soon, take care of yourselves and don't worry about money making until better xxx

  • Mornng all, sorry to hear you have had an awful year so far Susan I hope that it's all good news from here onwards. Hope those who feel ill feel better soon.

Having a good morning today. Received £5 from bp, cashed in for £5 amazon from IPSOS, and had enough points to cash in for £15 amazon through Toluna at last, and thank you to everyone who pushed me to carry on, in a week I managed to get 40,000 points to claim. Still have my 20,000 survey to show up on my points so will be up to 24,000 when it does.

Also anyone ebaying this week, free listing this weekend. Wish I had known that for the more expensive items I had listed last week :rotfl:

Was meant to go into town but car is in desperate need of air in the tyres and oil in the engine (I added 1 litre of oil yesterday and it just covers the little ball at the bottom ) and it's pouring with rain. Have sale items to pick up before they send them back at M&S and want to scour the sales.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff
The more you put into life, the more you get out
  • Hi Piglet, with Facebook I'd have a feel around the site and get used to it a bit. Search for a company or craft website that has got a 'fan page' and have a look at the kind of things that are on there. In the first instance it might be good to upload a few pictures of your crafts and ask your family and friends to comment on them and give feedback. My friend does this with her cards and a few of us have bought cards of her this way. Any questions just ask!

Savvy, well done on your redeems! It all mounts up so quickly when you start saving. Thanks for the heads up about Ebay too - another weekend of putting more stuff on while last weeks stuff finishing sounds good.

The weather is pretty wet and miserable here too - makes me want to snuggle up and eat chocolate all day. Hope your car makes it to town ok.

Goodness me there's a lot to catch up, and I thought I could talk! :rotfl:

Nellis - well done on your saves, it gets addictive, I hate paying full price for things now.

kirsty- hope your youngest is better and that you manage to get a bit more time for sleep and you. Well done on your sealed pot, what a great start to this years.

savvy - Although I don't sell any of my craft bits there is a local lady who does jewellery and has parties at her home to sell it, she does very well. Also another friend has a page on a site selling homemade things I'll get the name for you when I chat next.

Pink mummy - so sorry to hear about your cousin.

esmer - happy birthday to your dd and hope you feel better soon.

twinklekat - what is tesco home panels pls?

Have I missed anyone?? Oh yeah Legend after the cheating accusations last night not sure you would have got the points :rotfl:;)

Won't be on bingo tonight as I'm off to our local real thing, will miss it though, you lot make me giggle. Will have a play and post in a bit. My ebay is going well, 2 items def selling and several others with watchers.

On a last note I know some of you saw last night but my cousin came out of hospital yesterday. He was very shocked to see his stiches, by all accounts it is worse than he thought it was but he is doing really well and has been blown away by all the support. They have arrested a man but not sure what he has been charged with. As far as I am concerned it should be attempted murder but we shall see.

Hope you all do well on surveys etc today
    Take care
    xx

Hi all, just saying hello, I am keeping up with the posts you are all so good hopefully it will rub of on me lol. Sent my phone to envirofone for £30 but they have said it is damaged which is rubbish as it was OH and he is fussy with his phone he is only selling it because he got an upgrade, I think I will sell it on eBay along with my old one on the free listing weekend.
DD put her car for an MOT and it's going to cost £200 which we will pay for her, just as you get a couple of quid it goes but she is down at the mo as she is having to move back in with us......

Seen a few if you on bp cashed in £5 amazon already woo hoo ... Off to do surveys if I can work it out.

Link to the MSE Tesco Home Panels thread here. It took me a couple of months to get on the panel

Just a note to those that use turbolister for ebay, you can't use it over the free listing weekend, you have to list directly though ebay.

Fingers crossed you get a few surveys mswan, have only done a 15p one with OnePoll so far today!

Stepmum I'm so glad to hear your cousin is out of hospital now. I hope they get charged and go down for a long time x

Right, I'm here, I've not read everything, but I'm here! lol

Hello to everyone I don't already know from the other thread, and hello to everyone I do!! lol

esmer - happy birthday to your daughter!! Didn't realise!

Ok, so I'm signed up to the following:
Valued Opinions, New Vista Live, Survey Network, OnePoll, Ipsos, Song People, GFK, Pinecone and just joined Harris Poll Online!
I also make my own jewellery and it sold really well before Christmas. I'm also an Avon rep (just friends, family & colleagues)

I managed (JUST!) to be mostly money neutral with birthdays last year, but didn't do quite so well at Christmas. HOWEVER, all jewellery and Avon money is going into our Holiday fund, so that won't be helping this year! lol

Think I'll leave the ebay challenge this month elysia! Need a month of rest after December!! lol Was thinking of putting my jewellery on there, but I think it's a bit saturated with home made jewellery at the moment.

Also, used to do DooYoo but haven't really got the time at the MOMENT - will think about it each month and judge it.... Never got on with BingoPort.

So that's where I'm up to! Lets hope I can keep on top of the surveys!! lol

    Evening all

I feel like I am lagging behind somewhat with all this now I have gone back to work :(

Had 3 emails from VO for surveys today but couldn't do them as I was at work, tired them now and I am too late so still on £0 for them. Had a 15p one at onepoll and don't have time for Toluna tonight again.

I have however had my weekly shop and saved £8.46 with quidco tracking giving me 50p for my online order.

Had to bring work home with me tonight as well so need to crack on with that next, its so frustrating, I really want to ebay etc but there are not enough hours in the day!

I know just what you mean, work really gets in the way of all my good intentions! Tonight I wanted to list some things on Ebay but I'm not sure I'll get the chance as I have so much work to do for tomorrow. I make the most of all the school holidays, especially the summer as I can get plenty done then.
    Making money for Christmas 2012!
