Michelle - I haven't redeemed for Am on DoU since last Christmas but I think I am correct in saying it usually takes about a fortnight and my last Ips Am voucher took about 3 weeks.

It costs a small fortune doesn't it? That reminds me... I need to rejoin ips after I've had my dinner. I'm just pottering about at the moment, waiting for things to end on Eby.

  • I ideally want to have stuff for him like a crate before he gets here, and then I guess other stuff can wait a little while longer. We have feeding bowls, and can't see me taking him for a walk straight away either.

Fingers crossed she goes to bed nicely again for you knit. I hope you manage to find some 'me' time later. :)

Michelle - with it being only a chichuahua (small, I mean) - can't you use one of those travel cage holder thingys (mind's gone blank) for the time being? Being home most of the day, you might not want to get a proper crate. One - they are huge, two they are expensive, and three you might not need it for long anyway. All the dogs we've had, we've never had one.

If you got one big enough, it could be used as a bed with the door open, and closed when you go out. Would that be any good?

Ebay - wasn't as good as I'd hoped, some things did a little better, and some didn't sell at all. I sold 10 out of 16, so will re-list them on a freebie weekend again. They haven't all paid yet (still waiting on one from a fortnight ago too) but I reckon I'll clear £85, so not too bad in the grand scheme of things. :)

How's everyone else's items coming along?

Michelle - my last Am voucher from DY came in about a week or so, was really quick. Ips I had to wait a bit longer but got it in the end.

We have had quite a bad day, just after I came on here this morning OH came running down stairs saying his Dad wasnt well and he was going over there. He left me and his Mum here, when he got there (20 mins drive) his Dad was having a heart attack. He phoned the ambulance and they came really quick and took him off to hospital. OH came back home to pick his Mum up and they rushed up there. They found he had a blocked artery in his heart and he has had a balloon fitted to see if it works. Apparently he had 7 heart attacks before they could operate.

OH just came home a while ago and him and his Mum have gone to the pub for a few drinks to wind down a bit. I doubt I will be on much over the next few days as she is staying over a bit longer so OH can take her to the hospital etc.

Thanks for all your kind words guys, the OH is still in they said there is no infection and the doc thinks it will be kidney stones so he is having a scan tomorrow so we will see where we go from there.

Got the girls sorted without having to keep DD1 off school, it's harder now she is at school as all OHs family live a ten in drive away and as none of the drive noone can pick her up from school luckily my sister finishes work at 2 so between her and my sil they are cared for.

Been run off my feet all day and have got most of what I wanted done, house tidy and everything prepared for week ahead (clothes etc) have also managed to finish my food survey and pack up one ebay item and still have time for story and a play for DDs - just call me superwoman lol!!

Pablos do you know then don't keep us in suspense!!

Rufus - hope he is ok, wful when these things take you by surprise

Right now for some reviewing and surveys

Rufus - I hope FIL get's better soon.

Rembember OH's Brother and SIL both died recently? His two sisters decided they needed a break so they booked a trip to Egypt, they only came back on Tuesday. While they were there OH's BIL became ill and died for a few mins. They resusitated him, but he's been diagnosed with blocked arteries too. Out of the fornights holiday, he was in hospital for over a week. :( Waiting on seeing consultants now - so he may have to have the same op at some point.

I hope everything turns out OK. He's in the best place really. You take as much time as you need, don't worry about anything. We'll be thinking of you and your family.

Emma - you have to see that new film. Something along the lines of every woman being superwoman. I really don't know how we manage it all at times, but it's a case of having to isn't it? Well done hun.

I hope your OH is ok and not in too much pain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him too. :)

I've written another review again. I did think about posting it now, but I want my other one to get as many rates as it can first, so I'll do it tomorrow now. :)

  • Rufus - that sounds like a horrid day. At least your DH has been able to be there for his mum and dad today. Must be very stressful all round. Make sure you get a bit of wind down time too.

Elysia - we have got quite a large pet carrier which would probably do him a little while, but I was going off what my mum does with her two. She has two crates in different rooms for hers. They like to have a bit of space that is just there's to retreat to when the kids are there, so they play for a bit, then go have some peace. For us, we have the cat as well, so I want somewhere I can put him for when I do the school run, plus somewhere he can be safe overnight with a bit of space for putting paper down rather than getting up to mess everywhere, and if necessary, keep the two animals seperated as I don't think the cat will like having a new housemate. He could be in it quite a bit, and is already used to being in one at mums with the rest of the litter, so hopefully less strange to him.

I was looking at a fold up one, so you can collapse it if it is too big during the day, but the one I want is not that big (30 inches) and could go under my dining table as it is huge, and be out the way unless we very rarely have people round to eat. They are about £28 on amazon, and there are a few cheaper on ebay on auction, but I would have to use real cash and no guarantee it would sell at that price. On amazon, if i can use vouchers then no real outlay.

Apparently my sister is now having one of the litter too, and my mum has decided she can't take money off us and wants to give us them as our Christmas present. I don't know if I can let her do that as she has paid quite a bit to have them all vaccinated and the likes, but I need to talk to her and see what she will take off me for them. That would probably be a big saving though and ease some financial strain at the minute. You say you will do these things, and it always costs more than you think. I would feel too guilty if I didn't give her some towards the cost.
